Handmade in a small studio one at a time
I have been working in clay for 30 years, making and selling pots to my local community, opening my studio to visitors, sharing my joy of creating and raising two boys with my husband on a small island in the Pacific Northwest. Merging function, craft and art, I love to make useful objects that people can interact with, creating a connection to the maker, a meaningful experience and bringing beauty into your home.

Shop policies
All my pottery is made by me in my studio on San Juan Island, Wa. I run a small studio and showroom that is open to visitors.
I love clay and strive to make beautiful, unique, interesting vessels that are functional. I consider myself a studio potter as I am constantly changing and tweaking my designs and forms to keep it interesting for my collectors and myself.
All my forms are shaped on the potters wheel or from slabs and are hand painted and glazed. I use a variety of techniques to decorate my pieces. My designs are drawn on greenware then wax resist, slips, carving and sgraffitto are used to achieve the desired design. I make my own glazes and slips and purchase a few of the brighter underglaze colors. Pieces are fired in oxidation to cone 6.
I know it is difficult to purchase pottery without touching it. Therefore if you purchase a piece and are not completely satisfied, I will replace or refund. I want my customers to be happy with their purchase. Keep in mind that all pieces are handmade and may vary in color and shape.
Please contact me if you have any questions.
