I bought this together with a razor and mostly for the same reason....me eyes were talking. Now after a weeks usage i can tell that it's not only the damn great craftsmanship that makes this brush. As a user of mostly badgers of all kinds my experiance with synths are narrowed to the plisson i have. This brush is as soft and maybe a tad less backbone, but that doesn't mean anything bad in this case, cus it almost overperforms with shaving creams and pastes...from face lather to bowl lathering. The quality is outstanding on the knot itself and the handle i don't have to mention as pictures speak for themself, especially in this case!.Could've easily been the double on price and i'd still say - i'd take another and a third.Just one damn happy customer here,so 6 stars and a thumbs up....thanks Pat P&P was top notch too(sweden here)

Now and then i buy me a safety razor just for.....well....the why not. From Merkurs and EJ's to Feathers and Mühles.Stumbled upon this one and to be honest,it was my eyes that made me go for it.Damn glad i did! When it comes to the work of Pat,i just bow and whispers - TOP NOTCH!.Then we come to the razor and it's performance..here i really smiled at meself and silly predictions...the head seemed a bit light(and even cheap) and not what i'm used to...after a weeks use i smack myself on the fingers fer thinking so.Actually its lightness gives it a performance i'd rate higher than EJ's(i've tried). In the middle of gentle and agressive and a top performer fer us with a bit harder stubbles.A great surprise this was and surely not me last order from this artisan.Packaging and postage fitted the razor - top notch!A bow and 6 stars.

Some highly figured Pistachio wood from a retired orchard being turned into handmade (by me) hand mirrors. These non-traditional woods are difficult to find but they make great projects.
Three handmade solid (no veneers) Black Walnut dining tables fresh from the shop. Sorry, these are all spoken for but others can be made.
Production run of solid wood handle Mach 3 razors handles coupled with chrome plated components. Mach 3's are still the choice of many a shaver. These are real Mach 3 products and not the woodworking-by-numbers kits you see elsewhere on Etsy.

About

Brush Making

I’m an amateur woodworker who specializes in wet shaving products and other functional art including furniture. I like my shaving gear to be of the same quality and character as my fine furniture so the majority of products are made from real, solid wood that has been acquired both domestically and around the world over the past four decades. I attended college to become a high school woodshop teacher but ended up in totally different profession. Learning is a lifelong experience and woodworking is no different so I continue my training by taking classes from well-known woodworkers.

I started making shaving brushes and razors in 2003 well before the current renaissance in Wet Shaving so sourcing shaving materials was quite difficult as these products were not part of the mainstream shaving culture. Wet shaving has had a rebirth with young adults and women. It's less expensive and the tools (i.e., brushes and razors) will last years if properly maintained. Shaving is never fun but it's certainly more enjoyable with the right handmade equipment.

My brush designs are esthetically pleasing to the eyes yet functional. Everything in my Etsy store was made by me, and only me, in my San Juan Bautista shop. I carry a diverse selection of shaving hair products ranging from Premium Silvertip Badger to Synthetic hair knots. I don’t name my different styles of brush handles because they’re a tool and not a pet.

I've been in the Wet Shaving business for over a decade and will be here tomorrow and in the future, so you can buy with confidence knowing I'm established. Each and every purchase is very much appreciated particularly in this uncertain economy.

Hello: Thanks for taking to time to visit my site. I stock the largest handmade collection of shaving products on the Internet. Everything in my store is made by me here in the USA. While beautiful, my products are meant to be used and are designed to outlast any similar products. This is a profession for me and not just a hobby. I gaurantee you will be pleased with your purchase and if you're not, simply returned the unused item back to me for a full refund. Used shaving products cannot be returned or reused for health and hygiene reasons.
