Announcement   THANK YOU ETSIANS FOR HAVING ORDERED OVER 600 BAGS FROM PEACE4YOUBAGS SINCE WE STARTED HERE ON ETSY !
The peace4youBAGS credo is to take classical well-proven bag designs and manufacture them from a wide range of recycled materials that would otherwise end up as waste. We like to refer to this process as "upcycling" as we turn hitherto worthless materials into a product of new value.

About

...bags for a better world

Featured Seller : https://blog.etsy.com/en/featured-seller-peace4you/

In 2001 my son Mick Paul and I founded the recycling manufactory "peace4you.net" in Bremerhaven, GERMANY.

Year after year western civilization produces millions of tons of waste while at the same time depleting natural resources. At "peace4you.net" we felt that we could make a contribution to addressing this problem. Our credo is to take classical well-proven bag designs and manufacture them from a wide range of recycled materials that would otherwise end up as waste.

Ever since we have become something like "material detectives". Whenever we discover interesting, charismatic, and suitable materials, we bring them to the manufactory to turn them into new and wonderful bags. Those materials are e.g. navy-kitbags, french army-tents, and used leather-jackets.

We like to refer to this process as "upcycling" as we turn hitherto worthless materials into a product of new value. Every bag is a unique item with its own unique patina.

My career in sewing started about 20 years ago when I designed and created large-scale kites for kite events in Denmark, the Netherlands, and Germany. During that time I aquired the techniques to produce storm and rain resistent products.

In summary, it is now 14 years ago that our family founded "peace4you.net" bringing together what belongs together, manufacturing bags ...for a better world !
