I Love the size of this "Notes" book. The colors ad sizes of all the different triangles are very cleverly done and makes it so unique. Also I enjoy the black flap where I can tuck in receipts or notes. You have thought of everything!

About

paper, paint, pens & glue-- this is peach press:

I am Rachel- a self taught crafter. I have been creating things my whole life. From finger painting as a child, to scrapbooking as a middle schooler, to hand-stamping my own birthday invitations in high school, the desire to make things from scratch has always been with me. In high school I started making birthday cards for my friends and then began selling more greeting cards to my family and friends. The summer after my freshman year of college I decided to open up a card shop here on the internet. It's been a fun journey. Now I have graduated from college, gotten married and moved to Oslo, Norway where I still make and sell my creations. It's a pretty good life.

All my cards and notebooks are drawn, lettered and painted by hand. No computers or copy machines, just my hand and a pen. For that reason, each card or notebook I make will be a bit different. I greatly value correspondence with my friends and family through handwritten letters. I hope my shop encourages you to stay connected to your loved ones in this way, as well. It's hard to beat the feeling of opening your mailbox to see a lovely handwritten letter, right? I also love to write down everything I'm thinking: my feelings, conversations I've had, project ideas, and I love to practice my handwriting. Pocket sized moleskines are perfect for this. My goal is to create colorful and fun pocket sized notebooks so you can pour out your mind onto paper anywhere you are!

Much of my inspiration for creating things comes from time spent in nature or time spent at my desk with a sketchbook. I am totally content to sit on a rock and stare at the water, birds and trees for hours on end. Being in God's creation replenishes me and rejuvenates my desire to live a good life. I truly believe John Muir when he said, "in every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." When I'm inside I love doodle. Some of my favorite moments are the ones when my husband, Josh, is playing the guitar and singing folk songs and I have a mess of paper and paint around me. I also have a fair amount of creative inspiration while riding the metro (of all places!), so I always carry a moleskine with me to scribble out sketches.

When I'm not creating things I'm usually baking bread or cookies, hiking with Josh (when he's not reading philosophy books), writing letters to friends, running around the lake, volunteering at a community garden or reading good books. You can read more about my adventures in creativity and my life in Oslo on my blog: peachypress.blogspot.com

Thanks for stopping by my shop! I hope you enjoyed your visit.
