I live in a small house on a big farm in the rolling hills of Kentucky with two small men and one full size one.

I grew up on this farm. I have fond memories of sinking my toes in the sandy dirt road that ran along the fields in the hot summertime. It was on this farm that I learned the value of hard work. Even as a kid it was satisfying to see a field of hay mowed, raked, baled and stacked tightly in the barn for winter feeding. It felt good to plant a tiny seed and watch it grow into a plant dripping with tomatoes.
My husband and I are passing on these same life lessons to our boys. It is exciting to see the wonder on their faces when they experience these same things. I am so grateful that they are able to have a childhood much like mine was.

Sadly both of my parents passed away a few years back. They left us a farm, a lot of beautiful memories and a world of experience and knowledge.
Besides the farm I also inherited a love of making art from my mother along with a deep appreciation of nature. My father passed on a sense of humor with a dash of added mischief.

I earned my BFA with an emphasis in Printmaking from Northern Kentucky University in 2005. Since then I have been making art, raising children and working on our farm. When I was little my mom went "yard-saling" just about every Friday and Saturday morning. The thrill of finding some unusual and forgotten item and giving it a new life stuck with me. You can often find me searching through piles of possessions on the weekend mornings just as she did all those years ago; looking for a unique piece. We live in a small home with just enough room for us so I curate these items and list them for sale to you. Hopefully they will get a second life in a new home where they will be loved and appreciated for their beauty and function once again.

If you get a second stop by and take a look or just say hello.

What an awesome painting! This is going to look great in my son's monster themed room. I just picked it up from the frame shop today and couldn't be happier.

About

Constant creator and curator of collections for the eclectic home.

At a young age I knew I loved to make art! My parents both encouraged and nurtured this creative side of me. My mother was quite a talented artist herself. She completed mail order art courses in the 1950's and 1960's which would be similar to an online course today. Mostly she was self taught. She loved to paint portraits. My father was quite the character, his personality was infectious. He was a sailor turned farmer. He spent 20 years collecting and cultivating stories of his travels all over the world before he began cultivating the earth on our farm. He could sew a story like he could sew a seed; plant it in your mind and watch it grow.
Sadly both my parents passed on a few years back. Before they left this earth they were able to see me successfully earn my BFA from NKU. I am grateful they got to be there to see all their years of encouragement and nurturing come full circle.

My mother in addition to being an artist was always looking for a good yard sale on Fridays and Saturdays. I would often accompany her. She would hunt for things that she saw something special in, take them home and recreate them or give them a new home where they were appreciated. This love of the hunt stuck with me all these years. I find the same excitement in neat old forgotten items that she did so many years ago. Since we choose to live a simple life in a small home, these collections can only briefly stay in my hands. I enjoy finding them new owners who will give them the love they deserve.

I opened this shop after my first child was born. I decided to stay at home with him as my mother had done with me as a child. It's a combination of my handmade art and illustrations that I spend many hours working on, interesting vintage items that I find locally and items from nature that I collect during my many hours spent outside working on our farm. The combined effort is a curated collection that would fit nicely in an eclectic home.

I hope you will enjoy it.
