This piece is so pretty and boho-chic. I wore it today and received many compliments. Peggy was very professional and the the bangles came ready to gift. I felt like I was receiving a gift from myself to myself. I can guarantee you, Peggy, this is the first of many orders. Thank you

About

This Much I Know is True

It was all over when I discovered finger paints. To my way of thinking, everything would look better with a little more color, and I set out to prove it. Moving targets, though more of a challenge, were also fair game, to the chagrin of my dog and my best friend, Debbie. In the end though, I managed to make the world - at least my tiny speck of it, and at least for a few hours - a little more colorful.

My love of color hasn't wavered. I've since played with it in many forms, from makeup to art glass to airbrushing and paint. Fiber is my go-to though. I get a serious thrill from creating something new out of strips of fabric and bits of yarn.

Peggy True is a one-woman show. I design, create, produce, photograph, pack and ship, often witnessed by an oversized cup of herbal tea. If I hit a creative block, I jump on the rebounder to shake up the energy and get unstuck. Or ride my bike through the countryside. Or practice Cloud Hands (which might not get me unstuck, but will render me too peaceful to care:) What I do makes me happy, and as long as it does, I will continue to do it. I hope it makes you happy too.

The How and Why of It

One of life's unexpected turns brought me to a small town in Pennsylvania’s Amish country a while back to care for my little mom. The seismic shift from Brooklyn to horse and buggy country paired with the challenges of caring for a parent with dementia, motivated me to find a creative outlet. Something fun that we could share.

A trip to Goodwill and an armload of tshirts later, and Peggy True began. Mom helped at first, holding braids and untangling and rolling yarn into balls. Before too long, she was cheering every sale. I feel very blessed to have shared five years with her, the woman who fueled my creative fire, patiently teaching me how to sew and knit, always with a sparkle in her eye. I miss her.

I want to give a heartfelt thank you to all of my customers and fans. You are, without a doubt, the Best of Etsy. And your enthusiasm and support mean more to me than you know.

Special Thanks to artist Druh Martines for the mandala:)

CUSTOM ORDERS:
I'm very happy to do custom orders on my stacks and other fiber bracelets!

For Fiber Bracelets (other than Stacks): There is no additional charge to change colors or size.

Stacks: if it's a simple matter of switching out attachments - i.e. dangles like beads or charms - on an existing stack you'd like to purchase, or making a new, very similar stack (as similar as possible in all or almost all aspects) in a slightly different size, there is usually no extra charge. (The exceptions are: A. if a premium charm like a rustic buddha is requested and B. the tall stacks, aka "Super Stacks", may Involve a small materials upcharge for larger sizes.) Stack orders that are more involved, however, may incur an additional fee which will be discussed. I also do not significantly "rework" (make changes other than switching attachments as above) existing ready-to-ship stacks. Thank you for your understanding.

Payment for Custom Orders must be made in full before work can begin. An approval photo will be sent upon completion. Custom Orders are nonrefundable.
Shipping
I ship within 3 days of payment for all ready to ship purchases. Custom order times vary depending on workload, though, on average, approval photos are sent 3-5 business days after order placement (holiday season may be longer). I will use your Etsy address for shipping. If you'd like your purchase sent to another location, please convo me with the revised info when you make your purchase.

U.S. SHIPPING is done via:
USPS First Class Mail with delivery confirmation
USPS Priority Mail with delivery confirmation.
I can give shipping transit time estimates only. I have no control over postal delivery. If you'd like expedited/overnight shipping or insurance, please convo me so that I can customize your order to include the extra charge.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING is done via:
USPS International 1st Class Air. International Buyers are responsible for any customs and/or receiving fees or duties that may be charged on their end. Please check your country's rules and regulations regarding import duties and VAT. (Fees can be quite high for the UK, for example, and include an additional Royal Mail handling fee, all due on the buyer's end.) And if your shipping charge exceeds $1.50 of my actual shipping cost, I refund the difference.

Please note, I do not undervalue an item on a customs form or label it as a gift. All items are priced and described accurately. I also adhere to each country's import rules regarding restricted items. (Italy, for example, prohibits sewn items.)
Refunds and Exchanges
If there is a problem of any kind, please convo me right away. I'm always happy to work with you:)

RETURNS/EXCHANGES
I will either exchange an item or issue a refund on the full price of the item if it is shipped back within 14 days of receipt in its original condition. Please convo me first to let me know you'd like to return something, and package it well so that it arrives in good condition. I do not refund shipping charges.

CUSTOM ORDERS are non-refundable
