PEMBA Ceramics ... Jewelry ... Polymer Clay ... Textiles ... Painted Terracotta
My work is unique or made in very limited editions. Mixed media is one of my fascinations. PEMBA means “Saturday” in Tibetan and is a common name for both boys & girls. My mother is Tibetan and grew up in Darjeeling (yes, the tea), West Bengal, India before moving to NYC to study medicine in the 50s.
Each piece of jewelry is sent padded in a gift box bearing artwork by me or my son. Gift Certificates are available almost immediately (I will email you a pdf). Please contact me if you have any questions or custom requests.
Read my Profile to find out more and before you buy, see my Shop Policies page.

This link is to a piece of my recent work in an online exhibit with the Ann Arbor Fiberarts Guild in 2021. It is made of single-use plastic and thread. No paint or additional pigment. No fabric. Sewn by hand and by machine.
