This was just perfect! The picture is all yellow-looking and mucky but I took a gamble and the actual case was a lovely canvas color. It was a Xmas gift for my mom and she is over the moon with it! The shop expedited my shipping so I could get it in time for the holidays and were absolutely wonderful to work with. A fantastic experience and superior product! Thank you so much! :)
So this art student goes into a frat party.....
...17 years, two children, four dogs, three cats and four houses later we are still happily married and making things side by side. Sometimes we collaborate, but more often than not we offer each other serious critique, encouragement, and a wall to bounce ideas off of.
I grew up in a household that encouraged creativity. My mother was a teacher and my father a research scientist who tinkered with cars every weekend. Most of my classmates saw me as weird, which I learned to embrace later on in life.
My husband grew up in a family entrenched in the business of road construction, surrounded by large equipment, rednecks and a dearth of creativity. He was the black sheep because he dared to dream about making things besides a smooth road bed and nice curbs. Life is funny sometimes and that forced career path came to an end. He returned to school and completed his MBA, because paychecks are good, and it finally put him in a 9-5 job that allowed him the time to pursue his own creative endeavors. Luckily, south Texas has a plentiful enough supply of mesquite to suit his appetites.
Owner, Creator, Wife
I grew up in a creative family, surrounded by books, art supplies, engine parts and the support to try new things at every turn. I have a BFA in Studio Art- Sculpture from Southwest Texas State University (now named just Texas State).
Native Texan and lifter-of-heavy-objects. By day a contracts specialist for a large research firm, by night a wood worker. After years of supporting his wifes' creative whims finally caught the "makin' stuff" bug.
