Announcement   Welcome, I am Penny Hall a professional artist working out of my studio in rural Montana. I create one of a kind hand sculpted leather blessing bowls.

What is a blessing bowl? It is a container to hold all of the good things in your life.

I created my first blessing bowl as a therapy project after I was diagnosed as legally blind. I did not want my mind to believe what I was being told. I was NOT blind.

Up to that point all I could see in life was the worst. I worried about everything. My sight problems taught me to change my focus and start looking at the good things. So, the leather bowls I started making as a therapy project became my blessing bowls.

They are my ambassadors carrying the message to everyone that you can change your life if you look only for the good things in your world.

You can read more of my story and learn the history of my blessing bowls on the profile page to the right and at http://penny.bearfeather.com

Each one of a kind piece is accompanied by an artist statement found on the profile page.

These pieces were designed for decorative use, but much like a basket they will hold anything that is not wet.

Just wipe them with a clean dry cloth.

I offer FREE SHIPPING to all destinations within the United States. More detailed information concerning shipping can be found in my "shop policies".

I am happy to ship outside the US. Contact me prior to placing your order for information concerning shipping rates.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

I am Penny Hall a leather artist living and working in rural Montana.

I created my first leather blessing bowl in 2003 as a therapy project. Diagnosed as legally blind I wanted to prove to myself I was NOT blind. When the second bowl I created brought $450.00 at a fund raiser my art business was born. Today you can find my art in galleries and shops in Montana, Idaho, Colorado and New Mexico.

I take great pride in my work. You will find character marks in many of my pieces. I incorporate natural brands, scars and other marks found in the hides into the finished items.

Although you will find similarities in shapes and materials due to the nature of the leather hides each piece is truly one of a kind.

I include a copy of my artist statement and a tag stating that the item is hand made in Montana by me. It also includes instructions not to place anything wet in the item.

Although I created them for decorative use they will hold anything that is not wet.
