Peony Rose Handmade......where happiness blooms!

Where it all began.
I've been creating & crafting ever since I can remember (newspapers held together with staples make great handbags!!) and after my Gran taught me how to sew up a blanket with the woollen squares I'd knitted when I was a girl, my love affair with sewing and needlecraft began. I'm self taught and approach new techniques with gusto.

Leap of faith.
I've dabbled with selling various handmade crafts on & off over the years but in 2015 I decided that I wanted to make sewing my full time job. And here I am, my small business is up and running bringing you handmade delights crafted in my little home studio in Scotland. My work room also happens to be my childhood bedroom. My family and I moved in here 7 years ago after my parents our old house next door!! I've been going around in circles...literally!

Where happiness blooms!
Sewing makes me happy and I like to think that this happiness shines through in my work. I use colours and patterns that I'm drawn to, allowing my own unique style to flourish. My designs and style naturally evolve over time and this is something I wholeheartedly embrace. I thrive on creating my own patterns and the sense of accomplishment of seeing a project through from start to finish, well, it's just wonderful!!

What's in the name?
Getting the right business name was very important to me. It had to be something that had meaning to it. After many months of scribbling down random words in a notebook, I was looking out into the garden and saw our beautiful peony roses. These roses had originally been in my Nana's garden over 30 years ago. My Dad transplanted them into our garden after she passed away. Those peony roses have survived a lot of trampling feet, being pulled at by kids and of course, our 'lovely' Scottish weather. Yet, despite all of that, they STILL come back every year!! In some ways, their resilience reflects some of my own experiences and hence, I believe it was the right name.

Simply Delightful.
Peony Rose Handmade brings you quality items, lovingly created by me from start to finish. My items can't help but delight and whether you are buying as a gift for someone special, or as a treat for yourself, you will not be disappointed.

I strive for fantastic customer service and aim to provide you with a first class shopping experience. I hope you will enjoy browsing and shopping in my store, and if there is anything I can do to help, please just ask.
