Hello! I was married on August 29th, 2016. We had a beautiful elopement in the lovely city of Goderich, Ontario. The sun shone down on us, the weather held up, the photo set turned out perfectly, and I felt great! After a nice vacation/honeymoon I have returned to my boring ordinary life. XP

I want you to know that when you purchase from me you're not buying from just some random who found their mother's old patterns in a bin somewhere. I am a vintage sewing enthusiast! Like you I *love* to sew vintage. I carefully inspect patterns for defects and issues that I know would pose a problem. Basically, if I wouldn't buy it, I wouldn't sell it in my shop. My goal for my shop is not only to replenish my finances from my wedding, but to get vintage patterns into the hands of people who will love and cherish them. :)

Canada Post's rates vary depending on the weight and size of an object. This means that each listing has its own specific, individual shipping rate that reflects the size and weight of that pattern (or item). I use standard mail but if you wish to add additional shipping options to your purchase I'm happy to accommodate it, but please let me know immediately after purchase (see next paragraph). If there is a considerable difference (over $1) between the shipping rate that I have charged you and the actual cost to ship the item, I will refund you the difference (please bear in mind there is an applicable $2 handling fee to every purchase). Likewise, I will combine shipping by refunding the difference after the payment is made and the order is processed.
Most items are listed for sale WITHOUT tracking. More expensive items might be shipped WITH tracking (although they come up rarely in my shop). If you wish to add tracking to a purchase that does not have that option please contact me immediately after purchase. I will give you a quote and if you agree to the new shipping price I will invoice you the additional cost for tracking. If you are purchasing an item WITHOUT tracking with an item that does have tracking, the purchase as a whole will be shipped with tracking. Items shipped WITHOUT tracking are sent using standard letter mail service and come without tracking and insurance options. Please contact me prior to or immediately following purchase to upgrade your shipping method!

I have added clothing to my inventory. This is a limited time offer. All clothing items are shipped with tracking (delivery confirmation). You will receive your tracking number when the item has been marked as dispatched. Currently due to costs I am only selling clothing within North America. I am not opposed to overseas shipping but the costs are excessive, please inquire if you are interested in an item.
Please understand that my current order processing time is 3-7 business days, the reason for this is because I am temporarily working full time, six days a week. That being said, I will do my best to get your item(s) shipped as soon as possible after receiving payment.
Items will not be shipped if payment is not received. If you fail to pay for an item the listing will be re-posted. I do not accept reservations on items!
Additional policies and FAQs
UNCUT or FACTORY FOLDED will refer to patterns that have never been cut and are still factory folded.
COMPLETE does not necessarily mean a pattern is UNCUT, instead it means that the pattern has all of its pieces. This may also mean that some pieces may have slight damage or alterations made to them, but all pieces would still be accounted for. Please read through the pattern's description carefully!
INCOMPLETE is when a pattern is missing pieces or parts of pieces. For example, someone may have chosen to slash the hem on a skirt or dress but the removed pieces are lost or thrown away. I would consider that pattern incomplete. In rare instances a pattern may be described as an INCOMPLETE that's complete! What does that mean? It means that I've found duplicates of the missing pieces in another copy of the pattern and I've reproduced them for the incomplete pattern. Sometimes they may not be the correct size and would still have to be adjusted, therefore I would still consider it incomplete. Prices on INCOMPLETE patterns would vary depending on how much they're missing.
Due to the fact that these patterns are ancient pieces of paper, envelopes and pattern pieces tend to tear, crumple or stain. It's the nature of the beast. I will make note if pattern pieces have been slashed, altered or damaged. Envelope condition is typically described as "good" or "poor". I will never say a pattern envelope is so good it looks pristine. I might call it "great" but the reality is is that it can be torn or wrinkled even while it is in transit to your home! So that being said, don't place too much emphasis on getting a perfect envelope, I know most of you won't because all you really care about is what's inside. ;)
Pattern pricing varies depending on rarity, style and condition.
Despite my best efforts there is a 0.1% chance that a sewing pin could end up in a vintage pattern. I have literally pulled nearly 100 rusty pins out of my patterns this year - not kidding! I've even gone so far as to purchase a super strong magnet to run over my patterns before shipping them out. I just want to put out a warning on the off chance one slips past my radar, please remove patterns carefully when handling them.
As of Sept. 2017 I am selling vintage clothing, some items are handmade and their date of origin is often estimated. Colours and textures may appear different in person. Sizes of some items are also estimated, but flat measurements are provided for a better understanding of fit. I attempt to give as detailed descriptions as possible, but with that being said I am selling these items in "as in" condition.
What's up with the handling fee?
The handling fee covers my labor, packaging and transportation fees. It is included in the shipping cost and is separate from the price point of an item.
In regards to Private Data Collection:
I don't use your private information for anything more than processing your order. This information is solely stored on Etsy for several years or until the shop ceases operation, it is not sold or distributed to third parties.

Frequently asked questions
How long does it take to ship an item?
This can vary depending on the shipping method I use or where the buyer lives. The majority of my items are for sale with very basic shipping, I did this to keep costs down for the buyer. It may take longer because it is standard, so I would advise buyers to allow a few weeks time for the package to arrive, especially if you know there's a large distance between us (I'm in London, ON).
Do you ship internationally?

How can I upgrade my shipping?
Please contact me prior to or immediately after making your purchase to discuss shipping upgrades. I will present you with quotes for the available shipping options, after you make a selection I will invoice you the difference. Once I've received payment for the invoice, your item will be shipped.
Please make sure to contact me about new shipping methods as soon as you possibly can, otherwise you run the risk of me posting the package with standard shipping.
Do you offer combined shipping?
Yes. In order to do this, you would purchase your multiple items as you normally would. I will combine shipping by refunding the difference after the payment is made and the order is processed.
Can I reserve an item in your shop?
At this time I do not allow for reservations on items.
