The creators of Period Corsets ® are sometimes dubbed the “Corset girls from Seattle”. This is where we design, pattern, cut and stitch our corsets, petticoats and everything you see here.
Period Corsets® is eternally on a quest to encapsulate the impossibly shifting graceful female form in all its varied permutations. Our corset shapes are universal yet imbue history in each era's Period Silhouette. Whether you are costuming for Ibsen or Shakespeare; Period Corsets® is your link from the present to the past.
Since 1996 we have made custom costumes, historic corsets and underwear ensembles. In 2001 we focused our talents exclusively on our best-selling creation, a retail line of historic undergarments called “Period Corsets®: Your Complete Source for Historic Undergarments”.
Today we’ve come full circle and are offering custom costumes made-to-order. We use our classic period shapes, high quality standards, and our trademark clean construction techniques to create your one-of-a-kind garment. Each fabric is lovingly picked for its resonance with the historic period, its superior quality, and how it fits in with the whole ensemble. If you are looking at our circa 1660 Cavalier look and the colors start to hum in your mind—that’s when we know we’ve achieved the harmony of style, shape and color to which we aspire.
Please peruse our shop; if you don’t find exactly what you are looking for, email Hilary with your personal costume requests. Happy shopping!

5 out of 5 starsThis face mask is awesome!! I didn’t even need to adjust it and that makes me so happy. I have yet to find a face mask that fits me well and comfortably. The masks are usually to big, but this one is well made and fits me perfectly!!

5 out of 5 starsIf you are looking for high quality historical or costume garments you have to buy from PeriodCorsets. I bought my corset to wear on my wedding day, and I'm so glad that I did. The quality and comfort are unparalleled when compared with other similar garments I've worn in the past. Also, Sara and the team offer incredible customer service. They helped me return my first item that I ordered in the wrong size and worked with me to create a custom corset that fit perfectly - and shipped it out to me so quickly! Thank you so much, Sara! I can't wait for my wedding day!

Since 1996 we have made custom costumes, historic corsets and fancy underwear ensembles. In 2001 we focused our talents exclusively on our runaway best selling creation, a line called “Period Corsets®: Your Complete Source for Historic Undergarments”. Today we've come full circle and are offering custom costumes made-to-order on this Etsy store. We will still be using our classic period shapes, high quality standards, and our trademark clean construction techniques that our fans have become so used to.
In our store you will fine one-of-a-kind garments and ensembles, each fabric lovingly picked for its resonance with the historic period, its superior quality, and how it fits in with the whole ensemble. If you are looking at our circa 1660 Cavalier look and the colors start to hum in your mind—that’s when we know we've achieved the harmony of style, shape and color to which we aspire.
