These are really great. Only giving them 4 stars because the dark blue may as well be black. I bought both as a gift, thinking she could look kick-ass in the black and boho in the blue, but the color difference is negligible. I should have kept the black.

Very nice quality. One warning, though: The dark blue is almost indistiguishable from black. I bought both for a friend, thinking she could look kick-ass in the black, and boho in the blue, but there isn't enough difference. She was happy to have them, so it's all good.

I have this memory from when I was a kid, when I was about eight, of me going to one of my brother's baseball games. Although baseball games were quite common for my family; on this one day in particular I had gone to great lengths to prepare a collection of colorful woven friendship bracelets for my friends to buy. I meticulously documented each color, and how many I had made, in a little notebook, and all day went around the park showing off my handmade goodies. Although I didn't sell any (turns out eight-year-olds don't have much money) I still look back to day as a landmark moment for me.

That day sparked something in me- I knew what I felt making those little bracelets, and somehow I wanted to capture that feeling and share it with others for the rest of my life.

Permanent Baggage started in 2007 as a public art project while I attended the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design, and now more than eight years later the name stuck with me, although the products have drastically changed. Now, the PB Studio & Boutique creates a range of products from patinated jewelry, to leather key chains and handbags.

Materials have always inspired me, especially with my background in sculpture. I love being able to get my hands on something with weight, and density, and be able to form the material into something new and unexpected. These are many of the reasons why I gravitate towards leather and fiber arts- specifically in the realm of women's accessories.

Permanent Baggage is my full time career, brand, and as of recently a permanent fixture of the Milwaukee art and handmade community. In November of 2015, my team and I opened a consignment shop and studio in Milwaukee WI. What originally was an experiment for the holiday season turned into a full time operating studio- thanks to the incredible support from the surrounding community.

Located just off of Brady Street in Milwaukee WI, the PB Studio & Boutique features work of over 60 local artists and makers, while being my full time studio. With the help of some amazing assistants; my work can be found at art fairs throughout the state, boutiques across the country, and shipped worldwide.

Each piece of jewelry, and every bag is crafted from a handmade pattern designed by myself and then the gals and I get to work fulfilling every order that comes through our little shop. Each member of my staff is a driven, and creative individual who takes pride in being part of the handmade community. My assistants and I handle everything from product assembly, to shipping, to helping customers, creating displays, answering emails, brainstorming events and promotions, and even organizing the occasional pizza party (or two). We really are a little local shop with a lot of love for our community.

As the PB Studio & Boutique grows, I would like for it to be a beacon and highlight of fiber arts and women's accessories in the community. I want to become a hub of inspiration, and motivation- and even create a space to learn from. In the near future we will be hosting workshops, events, and continually host a variety of Milwaukee's diverse products of art and accessory.
