5 out of 5 starsOMG! I love the ceramic herb markers that Heather custom made for me in Italian. They just arrived and I’ve already put them in my herb pots. Heather was so helpful and wonderful to work with! I highly recommend! Thanks 😁

5 out of 5 starsThis is a beautiful little pocket vase for a small wall space. I put dried lavender in mine, and it works perfectly. It also came extremely quickly. I love it.

Apartment sized mini planters..Perfect for the windowsill!

Imprinted ferns from my garden. I market these as coasters, but also make mosaics with them to hang on the wall.
A Move From The City Inspires A New Collection
We moved into a Sears Craftsman in the suburbs about 20 minutes from the city. I explored the new terrain, walking my dogs, walking my 9 year old, and driving through the neighborhood. I noticed patterns and signage everywhere! Have you ever tried looking at a sign and not reading it? It's hard....but I started to see the letters as surface decoration or as another texture in this lush, new landscape. And then the urban patina left on these signs and sidewalks made them even more interesting! It reminded me of the glazes and oxides used in ceramic decoration, imbuing an aged look to a new object.
So I am making a textural journal through imprinting tiles, garden pots, and plant markers. I load up my little red wagon with my slabs of clay and my rolling pin and hunt for letters, old trees, sidewalks, and historical signage to imprint on this clay. Using glazes and oxides sparingly, I hope to achieve a vintaged quality to my work. Something used but loved. Something old but worth passing on to the next generation.

I began my saga with clay back in college. Upon entering the real world, I moved into jewelry making, mural painting, and museum work. Finally, I have a studio in which to continue my exploration in ceramics! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
