Once upon a time, while browsing in the Land of Etsy...

...a sumptuous woman of shorter-than-average stature came upon a tiny shop called “Petite Plus Style: Beautiful plus-sized apparel for women under 5’ 3" / 160 cm."

“Surely, this be jest!” she thought, knowing that no clothiers in all the land made apparel specifically for people like her. So she entered the shop, and there, standing before her, was a dazzling and stylishly appointed woman.

“Who are you?” asked the visitor.

“I am your Zaftig Godmother! I adorn in splendid apparel all women of shorter-than-average stature who have—everyone should be so lucky—a little extra put aside for a rainy day. I am in charge of global gorgeous-ness, so I personally see to it that the outside is every bit as fetching as the beauty on the inside of every woman. Come in, come in, sit, eat!”

“Am I dreaming?” said the woman, pinching herself, but hoping she would not wake up.

“No, you’re not dreaming, and quit pinching yourself! ‘Petite Plus Style’ is where you belong, finally, like family!"

And so the woman sat and had coffee, and sent text messages by carrier pigeon to all her diminutive plus-sisters, who came, shopped, and lived happily, audaciously, and stunningly ever after.

You can expect exceptional customer service from me. I am not after thousands of one-time anonymous sales, but a small base of customers who want unique handmade garments of superior quality along with timely and courteous service, easy returns, and personal service. Thank you for your business.

A note about sizes:

Retail ready-to-wear sizes are, as you have no doubt noticed, completely random, making them less than useful. That is the principal reason I don’t use them.

Also, a size is just a number—a reference point—and if it has to have emotional connotations, they ought to be positive ones. I have created an innovative and novel system for determining good fit.

This is how it works: because each of us is exquisite, I have chosen names of goddesses to represent a range of body measurements. Both are clearly stated on every listing to prevent the guessing game as well as the annoying “where is the size chart?” hunt.

The best way to ensure good fit is to take your measurements before you order, even if you think you know them. Just do it: it is only a mark on a tape, and you are doing it to determine which fetching goddess to look for when shopping!

Because one does not have the opportunity to try on clothing when buying online, I have a very generous return policy. I don’t ever want a customer to hesitate to purchase because of the hassle of a return.

Based on years of buying online, my goal is to make shopping with Petite Plus Style a pleasure. I want you to love your purchase, enjoy wearing it, and return often to shop!

Q. What can be returned?

A. Anything purchased from Petite Plus Style can be returned for any reason.

Please note: in order to qualify for a refund, any item returned must be clean, free from odors, stains and damage, and in pristine condition.

Q. How do I return an item?

A. Simply fill out the “Return” sheet enclosed with your purchase indicating the reason/s for return. Pre-approval is not necessary.

Please notify me via convo or email to expect the return:

Wrap securely and address, including your return address.

Please use regular shipping (not express or expedited) with tracking and insurance.

Your refund, *including* regular (not express or expedited) return shipping, will be made to the original payment source when the item is received in acceptable condition.


If you would like a different item, please reorder online.

Q. How long do I have to return an item?

A. Within the United States, please ship returns within 30 days.
International customers, please ship returns within 60 days.

I understand that life is not always predictable, however, so if you cannot meet that timeline for some reason, please contact me via Etsy convo or email at so that I may accommodate your needs.


In my experience, most retail ready-to-wear apparel shrinks to a point of uselessness after laundering, and I find that maddening. I always pre-treat my fabrics before the shears come anywhere near them, so I guarantee that they will not shrink more than 1 inch in length or you can return it for a full refund at any time in the future. Shrinkage in width is not generally an issue, but my guarantee stands for that as well.
Petite Plus Style accepts credit and debit cards, Pay Pal, and Etsy gift cards.

Taxes and fees:

For residents of Wisconsin, 5.5% tax will automatically be added at checkout.

Payment of VAT, customs, duty, import and other fees are the responsibility of the buyer.
I ship United States Postal Service Priority Mail with delivery confirmation and insurance.
