5 out of 5 starsAlia created a custom brooch for a cosplay (Velvet Crowe from Tales of Berseria) I'm doing this summer. As you can see in the photo, the brooch looks exactly like it does in Velvet's character art. Alia communicated the status of the commission throughout the process, notifying me of delays and sending pictures when the brooch was complete. All in all, this was an excellent commission process that resulted in an absolutely perfect cosplay accessory! Thank you, Alia!

ODDDOLL - delightful and disturbing art dolls and jewelry
My name is Alia, and I am an artist.
I grew up in the middle of the Idaho desert, and spent my hour long bus rides to school reading books on ufos and the paranormal. As I got older and developed a passion for art and writing, I never shook that love of the fantastic and unknown and it tends to show in my art.
ODDDOLL is my part-time job, and a very important creative outlet for me. You, dear visitor, give me the encouragement and financial support to make my passion a business, which allows me more time to stay home and care for my wonderful, autistic son.
Besides keeping busy with my shop here on Etsy, I am master storyteller and invisible monster slayer to my 10 year old son, and the elementary art teacher in my town.

Accepted payment methods
Returns and exchanges
I try to capture my items as accurately as possible, and send pictures of custom items before shipping, so you know exactly what you are getting. But each of my items is handmade, which means there will be slight variances is size, shape, color, or placement, which makes every item unique. Please do not expect cookie-cutter, mass-produced perfection. Unless there is a gross misrepresentation on my part, I do not offer refunds or exchanges. I also do not give refunds or exchanges for changes of mind.
Payment
Reserving items: I can reserved an item for up to two weeks, but cannot reserve it for longer without partial payments.
Layaway: I am happy to do layaway for any of my items, and can split the payments up into a maximum of three installments.
Commissions: I love commissions! Commissions can be paid in full up front or in layaway installments, but I require at least 1/3 of the total price up front before I will start work on your order.
If you would like something altered or commissioned with supplies I do not have, please note that I have to order these online, and it may take a few days for them to get to me. I live in the middle of nowhere and unfortunately do not have access to a craft or art supplies store.
Shipping
I often times use recycled bubble wrap, tissue paper, boxes, and other packaging materials when shipping, so your item will be secure, pretty, and eco friendly.
Small sized US orders are shipped by USPS First Class Mail with Delivery Confirmation and will arrive in a bubble or poly mailer in a small gift box or tissue and bubble wrap. Your order should arrive in 3-5 days once shipped. These orders can be upgraded to a Priority box for an extra $3, which is an option when checking out. Priority takes 2-3 days to arrive.
Larger sized US orders are shipped by USPS Priority Mail in a box with tissue paper and bubble wrap and usually include insurance and signature confirmation in addition of Delivery Confirmation. Arrival will take 2-3 days once shipped.
International packages are shipped by USPS First Class International Mail in a bubble or poly mailer, or a box for larger items. These packages can take anywhere from 1-4 weeks to arrive. Many countries do not offer insurance for packages coming from the U.S., but I will include it if your country offers it.
I am not responsible for customs fees you may have to pay for your package. Your country sets these customs fees, and are not dictated by me. I have to be honest on the custom form and write the true value of the item. I cannot write a lower value or mark the package as "gift" to dodge customs fees. If this is an area of concern, I suggest checking with your customs office to find out how much fees may be before ordering.
Your package will have a tracking number, which will be emailed to you by Etsy once your item ships. If you do not receive tracking for some reason, please contact me at aliaghoul [!at] gmail.com and I will send you your tracking number.
If you would like insurance, signature confirmation, Express shipment, or just need something created in a rush, please contact me before, during, or after your purchase, so I can alter my schedule, the shipping price or send you a Paypal invoice for the extra costs.
Additional policies and FAQs
Thank you!
My items are all handmade and come from a smoke-free, pet-free home.
Caring for your new, awesome piece of art or jewelry:
Sculptures and dolls can be wiped down with a soft cloth if they gather dust, or the wax finish loses its luster a bit. Do not expose to water, tiny groping fingers, or earthquakes.
Should the unthinkable happen to your sculpture, and a crack develops or a piece breaks off, super glue works wonders on polymer clay.
To extend the life of your jewelry or accessory, it should be handled with care. Each of my pieces is made to be durable and resistant to damage, but polymer clay and the wax or acrylic finish on it can get scratched. Do not wear jewelry when bathing, swimming or sleeping.
My jewelry is made using chains, jumprings and other metal findings that are usually rhodium-plated or antiqued brass. I do not use jewelry findings that contain nickel. All of the materials are disclosed in each listing.
If you have a metal allergy or would like a different metal type for your jewelry item, please send me a message at aliaghoul @gmail.com.
