Hi there Everyone! My name is Alena Joyner, owner of P.H.X. Herb N Oils. So Etsy allows us to do a short bio for our shoppers and I thought, how awesome lets give it a go! I got started with my passion of herbal apothecary about 4 years ago when I was in need of a pacemaker. Prior to needing a pacemaker I was diagnosed with Lupus Nephritis in October of 2006. As a 17 year old teenager I was in complete shock along with my parents to say the least. Since that very year, I've tried just about everything to keep my lupus from flaring and taking a toll on my life. Over the years I've found that eating a more stabilized diet rich in vegetables, herbal supplements, herbal teas, and tinctures would allow me to have a more meaningful and purposeful life. The power of herbs, plants, fruits, and vegetables are like no other. They almost have like this mystical, energizing purpose for all of us. With that being said, it's extremely important that we use these herbs the way they were designed and intended for the human body. I've managed to completely eradicate all kidney involvement with my lupus by incorporating herbs like Moringa and Olive Leaf and that's just the beginning. When my liver began enlarging I immediately turned to Dandelion Root, which is incorporated in one of my most popular herbal cleanses "The Foundation".
