Design it, make it, share it

I've been sewing almost since I could walk. I learned on a vintage Singer sewing machine which mum bought me when I was 3yrs old. We lived out of town and I found myself crafting to entertain myself. When I was 8yrs old, I casually strolled out of my bedroom sporting a new pair of pants I'd just made from scrap fabric using my pj pants as a template. My Parents just about fell over!

So I have always been in to sewing and my obsession for creating only grew every time we visited craft fairs and markets or when my Aunty sent me little packages of scraps as she was a pattern maker for and opera company in the city.
When I finished high school I pursued qualifications in clothing production, costume for theater and millinery but worried about the slim job pickings I also took a computer course in multimedia and somehow found myself as a graphic artist.

Having kids turned my career on it's head somewhat and I needed to find a way to provide for my family while still having the flexibility to look after my babies. I've never been one to have cake and not eat it so it only seemed right to combine my skills. With the advancement in technology and access to on-demand printing I am able to design my own fabric, have it printed and then sew it up myself into whatever item I like (or you like for that matter) and that just makes me burst with happiness.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my Story. I truly appreciate it.

Returns and exchanges
I offer refunds and exchanges if there is a major fault with my pattern due to my error such as missing instructions or pattern pieces. I avoid such issues as I test my patterns several times before releasing them for sale.

I cannot be held responsible for the sewing level of the user. But if you find it too hard, please contact me and I can help you. I am a teacher after all :)

Also, all patterns are written in English. I cannot be held responsible if you can't read the pattern due to you English level. I do try hard to make my patterns internationally friendly by including as many instructional images as possible. If you would like the pattern in another language, please contact me with a suggestion I may be able to get it translated in the future.

I DO NOT REFUND PDF PATTERNS once they have been 'shipped' ie: emailed or downloaded.

I offer refunds and exchanges on items that are faulty. Buyer is responsible for postage costs. I will not be responsible for damage that happens during shipping, but I will take care in packing the item so it arrives to you safely.
Please make your payment within 5 days of purchasing. If you are having trouble paying within the 5 days please contact me so we can sort something out.

As I am in Australia, I go by the GST tax system. As I earn under the threshold I do not charge GST. Once I earn over the tax threshold, this policy will be updated.

Cancellations on Custom Orders:
If you have ordered a custom design and wish to cancel the order your refund will depend on how far along the design process is. You may have to pay for design time and fabric cost if it has already been ordered before you cancel.

Design Ownership:
I retain ownership of all the designs I create. If however you wish to purchase a design, we can write up an appropriate contract and apply the correct service fee.
All items will be shipped when full payment has been received.

All patterns are PDF files that will be sent to your email address provided by Etsy unless you specify a preferred email address in your 'note to seller' when checking out.
Patterns are available as Letter or A4 size, if you do not specify which one you would like, this may delay the sending of your pattern. I will usually choose the format most common to your region though.

If your are unsure of the postage cost associated with shipping your item, please contact me before purchasing the item. I am happy to post your item via any service you choose (eg insured, express etc) but you will be responsible for paying any additional cost involved.

As a general rule I use standard shipping, so from Australia this can take up to 4 weeks for the item to reach you depending where you are in the world. With smaller items I can post them air mail which helps to get them to you faster.
