Welcome to Pieces of Me Paper Crafts on Etsy
In my shop the definition of handmade is "made from my two hands."
Handmade is never perfect but it's definitely unique.
You won't find the items in my shop anywhere but here on Etsy.
I've been playing with paper since 1998 when I started a baby scrapbook for my infant daughter. Over the years my hobby evolved to include card making and handmade embellishments. I began selling my handmade embellishments on eBay in 2001, then took a break for a few years. In 2009, I opened an Etsy shop to sell my daughter's handmade jewelry. The shop didn't stay open for long but I gained valuable knowledge about selling on Etsy. In 2012 I felt a calling to sell my handmade cards and this shop was born.
In October 2018 my card shop entered its 7th year on Etsy. I offer a simpler style of cards that I design on my computer and finish up by hand. I use digital and rubber stamps, watercolors, quality clip art and fun or meaningful messages. Everything in my shop is handmade by me using quality papers and adhesives. I design, stamp, print, cut and fold each individual card myself.
In the summer of 2018 I added printable (instant download) favor tags, cards, treat bag toppers and recipe cards to my shop. These are great for DIYers who want to save a little money or not wait for an item to arrive in the mail.
I live in Massachusetts with my husband, two college-age children and two cats. When I'm not playing with paper, scissors and adhesives, I work part-time outside the home as a graphic designer at a newspaper. I've been working in the printing industry for over 40 years. I use my graphic design skills in my Etsy shop on a regular basis.

Returns and exchange details
LOSS / DAMAGE / SELLER ERROR:
I've been selling online since 2001 and package all items with care.
If you receive a damaged or incorrect item, please contact me within 7 days of receipt and include photos of both the item and packaging. Items that are sent in error, damaged or lost in transit** will be replaced at no cost to the buyer whenever possible. If a replacement isn't available, a similar item or refund will be offered. You may be asked to return incorrect orders at my expense.
**Packages will be considered lost in transit 4 weeks after the shipping date for U.S. deliveries. I’ll contact USPS if a package appears to be lost in transit.
NOT HAPPY WITH YOUR ORDER?
Contact me within 7 days of delivery and I'll work with you to resolve the issue. If a return is necessary, it must be shipped back within 14 days of delivery.
DIGITAL DOWNLOADS
Due to the nature of these items, I do not offer refunds on digital downloads.
Please read the listing carefully and make sure you're familiar with the programs required to use the files. Please contact me if a file is damaged so I can email you a new one.
Payment
Shipping
Please double check that the mailing address you have on file with Etsy is current and correct. Shipping labels are printed through Etsy using the address the buyer has on file. Packages shipped to an incorrect address due to buyer error may be lost, delayed or returned to me by USPS. In this case, the buyer will be responsible for additional costs related to reshipping. Refunds, if requested, will be issued for purchase price only after the returned package is received by me. Shipping charges are not refundable if an incorrect address is provided.
➤ SHIPPING WITHIN THE UNITED STATES
Your item will be mailed USPS First Class within the time frame stated in the listing. Shipping & processing days are Monday-Friday, excluding U.S. holidays. All packages shipped within the U.S. include delivery confirmation. First Class delivery typically takes 3-7 business days to arrive at its destination. I have no control over postal delays once a package has entered the postal system.
➤ PRIORITY UPGRADE
I offer a Priority Flat Rate envelope shipping upgrade to U.S. buyers at checkout for an additional fee. USPS estimates delivery at 2-3 days but it is NOT guaranteed. I have no control over postal delays once a package has entered the postal system.

Additional policies and FAQs
My items are handmade by me. Some items are made in multiple quantities so I can list more than one for sale. The item you receive may not be the exact item shown in the photo but it will be made as close as possible.
➤ CUSTOM ORDERS POLICY (non digital)
I accept special orders and offer bulk pricing on 10+ of a single card design. If you need a different color or additional quantity of an existing item or have a design idea, feel free to contact me. I check messages daily and will respond within 24 hours. After a buyer and I have agreed on the specifics of the order I'll create a custom listing for purchase. Special orders must be purchased and paid in full before I start to work on them. Processing times will be determined based on the size of the order and availability of materials and will be agreed upon by both buyer & seller before the custom listing is created. There are no returns/refunds on custom orders if the item can't be resold in my shop.
➤ CUSTOM DIGITAL ORDERS
I am not offering custom digital orders at this time.
Privacy
I only use customer information to fulfill orders. I do not store or use customer information for any other purpose. Information such as name, address, and email address is not stored on my computer or other devices. For tax purposes I retain paper copies of Etsy sales for a period of 4 years. If and when required, I will communicate with you about your order using the Etsy convo system or the email address provided with your order.

Frequently asked questions
Can you personalize my tags with a name or phrase?
My tags are handmade by me but I'm not set up to print on them. I'd be happy to hand stamp "thank you" on your tags but I can't add names, dates or other personal information.
PLEASE CONTACT ME PRIOR TO PURCHASE to request hand stamping as it may require an additional charge. Messages left in the notes to seller at checkout without contacting me first may result in your order being delayed or cancelled.
Can I place a bulk order?
Yes! Please contact me privately to discuss a bulk order (10+ cards) of any single design in my shop. Larger orders require a longer processing time. See the next question for processing and shipping info.
How soon will I get my order?
Ready to ship items are mailed in 1-3 business days.
Items that are labeled as "made to order" have a longer processing time that allows me time to make your order and package it for shipping. Made to order items usually ship within one week, depending on the size of the order.
Special orders created through private message requests will be shipped in the time frame agreed upon at the time of the order.
Delivery time** depends on your location and the method of shipping you choose at checkout. Most first class packages arrive in 4-7 business days. Priority delivery is usually 2-3 business days but is not guaranteed. See my shop policies regarding postal delays and lost packages.

Is your shop pet free and smoke free?
My family members and I are non-smokers and share our home with two cats. My ready to ship items are stored in covered plastic bins.

Can you customize a digital download?
I don’t offer custom downloads. My instant downloads are sold as is.
Can you create a custom order using a licensed character?
No. I cannot legally use trademarked images on anything for sale in my shop. Examples of registered trademarks are anything by Disney, logos, celebrity images and names, etc. All of the images used in my shop are used with permission and/or come with a license for commercial use.
