I am always upgrading my packaging to be as eco-friendly as possible. Recycled notebooks and mini moons are now sent in biodegradable sleeves made from corn or potato starch. They look like plastic, but are fully biodegradable, so you can throw them away with peace of mind or even compost them!

I also use recycled brown paper and recycled boxes wherever possible. Where I'm unable to use fully recycled materials, I will always try to use reused packing materials, unless I can't find what I need to wrap your item safely.

Shipping upgrades are available for Special Delivery and Tracked postage on most items.

A selection of moony things. If they're not listed in my shop yet, they will be very soon!
Acrylic on canvas board. The weather this summer has been amazing! Lots of nice photos have been taken to hopefully make some art from in the future.

Piefingers

Seeking freedom, joy and happiness through art. I hope you might find some of that here too.

I am a mainly self-taught artist and enjoy using a wide range of media to make colourful pictures, but I love using soft pastels in particular.

I aim to be as sustainable and eco-friendly in my shop as possible, which is why I use biodegradable sleeves to send notebooks and miniature paintings instead of plastic.

Wherever possible, I will use recycled packing materials such as boxes and brown paper. Where recycled materials are not available, I will always aim to pack your items in reused packaging. This is not always possible, but I will only use new or non-eco packaging in a very small number of cases and I am always aiming towards complete eco-packaging!

My notebooks are made from recycled paper.

I always aim to accurately describe my products. I am particularly careful to list all faults with vintage items so please do read my product descriptions, especially the 'Condition' section of all vintage listings before buying.

If you are unhappy with something, please try to contact me first before leaving a review so that I can do what I can to fix the problem. Thank you :)

Returns and exchanges
I gladly accept returns, exchanges, and cancellations

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

Returns and exchange details
Any refunds will be only be paid once I have received the item, unless the item has broken during shipping, in which case, refunds will only be paid once a clear photo of the broken item is received.

With vintage clothing and accessories, I will aim to put exact measurements in the listing, but please read listings carefully to avoid disappointment because vintage items may not fit the way you expect them to. In these instances, I welcome returns of clothing if they don't fit you and will refund in full as long as they haven't been worn.

Refunds will not be issued if you contact me more than 21 days after delivery.
Payment
Payment by either direct payment with credit/debit card or PayPal preferred.

Items will only be shipped once payment is received in full.

I believe that everyone should be able to own art, so I am happy to arrange instalment plans if there is a piece of art you like in my shop.
Shipping
Postage is usually charged as closely as possible to current Royal Mail First Class prices + packaging.

*SHIPPING TIMES: Postage times change throughout the year, but I will generally post item/s between 0 - 5 days from your order. If you choose Standard Postage, please expect to receive your item/s between 1 - 8 days in UK and Ireland and between 3 - 28 days elsewhere.

US CUSTOMERS: Royal Mail states that International Standard shipping takes 5 - 7 days, but I have often found that it can take 1 - 3 weeks for a parcel to arrive in the US! I try to keep my postage costs as low as I can, but please understand that I cannot provide faster shipping or a tracking number unless you choose upgraded shipping at the checkout. This is more expensive, but will mean faster shipping and extra peace of mind for you.

"Standard Post" Policies: Items will be packaged securely, with my sender address on the back. I will keep receipts and proof of postage for 2 months. This means that if your parcel does not arrive, I may choose not to offer full refunds, but may give you a discount coupon or a partial refund as a courtesy. I will be happy to send you a copy of the proof of postage receipt so that you can contact your local sorting office if there is nothing I can do, but I will endeavour to do what I can first. Please do choose tracked postage for speed and peace of mind, especially if you are outside the UK as I cannot control what happens to items once I've posted them.

IMPORTANT: If you choose Standard Shipping, and your parcel is lost in the post, neither full nor partial refunds will be given if you contact me more than 60 days after your order date.

"Tracked /Signed For Post" Policies: If you need your order more quickly or want your item to be tracked for extra peace of mind, please choose the correct shipping upgrade option at the checkout or ask if you can't find the option you're looking for and I'll be happy to help.

Why is shipping so expensive on some of your items?
Vintage items of a high value and some original artworks* are one of a kind and can therefore not be replaced in the event that they get lost in the post. In these cases, I cannot risk offering the Standard Post option as there is no tracking and I would make a significant loss.

* UPDATE: For some original artworks of a higher value, a free tracked postage service is now included in the price of the artwork.

You can request cheaper postage for these items, using the contact button but only with the full understanding that there will be absolutely no refunds if they are then lost in the post.

"Second Class / Economy" Post: If you are not in a hurry to receive your item, cheaper postage can also be arranged for some items: I will happily change the postage rate to Second Class or Economy if this is possible for your item. Just send me a message before making the purchase.

*These delivery times do not apply to products made to order. Please allow 14 - 21 days for made to order prints, with delivery between 15 - 30 days.

Additional policies and FAQs
Payment by either direct payment with credit/debit card or PayPal is preferred, but other payment methods are considered such as exchange of goods or services. I'm open to discussing alternative payments (including crypto currencies) if we can agree to a fair solution that suits both of us.

Privacy
GDPR information.

I have copied and pasted what follows below from Etsy to comply with new GDPR laws. In a nutshell, I will not use your information for anything other than to fulfil your order or to resolve disputes. I may send communications to you about your order, including thank you coupons after an order, but this will always be through the Etsy messaging service and not through email unless you have first contacted me via email or it is necessary to transfer photo files for pet portraits through email, but this will be discussed first through the Etsy messaging service. I will never pass your email address onto a third party, except for to comply with laws. Obviously the postal service will also have your address. The only circumstance under which I will store your email address will be if you sign up to my mailing list outside of Etsy, for which you must agree to receive email marketing from me.

Information I Collect

To fulfil your order, you must provide me with certain information (which you authorised Etsy to provide to me), such as your name, email address, postal address, payment information, and the details of the product that you’re ordering. You may also choose to provide me with additional personal information (for a custom pet portrait, for example), if you contact me directly.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

Information about my customers is important to my business. I share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances, as follows:

Frequently asked questions
I'm in the US / Canada / Australia / New Zealand and I haven't received my package yet. Can you track my parcel?

Please do allow up to 3 weeks for your parcel to arrive if you are outside the UK. Unfortunately, if you choose Standard Shipping at the checkout I cannot track your parcel. I also cannot control how long it takes to reach you. Parcels to the US in particular often take between 1 and 3 weeks.

For extra peace of mind; the ability to track your parcel; and a more speedy delivery, please choose one of my Tracked Shipping options instead.

Can I reserve items and do you offer layaway / instalment plans?

Yes, I am happy to reserve items for you for up to 60 days, after which time I will open the items up for sale to everyone again, unless we have agreed upon an instalment plan and a later date of payment.

I am happy to consider instalment plans on both handmade and vintage items. Please ask about this. Item/s will not be sent until final instalment has been received.
