Announcement   Welcome to PierozziPottery on Etsy the online store for original one of a kind handmade ceramics and pottery by Lou Pierozzi.

All of my pottery is thrown on the wheel or hand built from slabs, extrusions, pinching or coils, which means each piece is unique and one of a kind. I use porcelain and stoneware clay that is fired twice, once to drive the moisture out. The second firing is the glaze firing which gives the piece its luscious coloring.

My ceramics are food safe, dishwasher safe and microwave safe, unless noted.

About

Handcrafted Timeless Designs

Based in the northern suburbs of Chicago, ceramist Lou Pierozzi maintains his studio where he dedicates himself to creating artwork that is inspired by timeless designs. In his travels, Pierozzi explored countries including China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. He was deeply moved by the people he encountered and the cultures he experienced. He was also influenced by his exploration of ancient ceramics and uniquely stylized architecture. This is reflected in his work and inspires his organic patterns, fluid textures and peaceful colors. Pierozzi strives to strike a balance between form and function.
Pierozzi individually hand crafts each one of his ceramic pots on the potter’s wheel. He carefully designs each pot with thoughtfulness and style, so each piece is unique. He has been dedicated to his craft for over twenty five years, which is demonstrated in his ability to create exquisite work that can be both functional and cherished as a beautiful piece of art.
