Announcement   Welcome to PierozziPottery on Etsy the online store for original one of a kind handmade ceramics and pottery by Lou Pierozzi.

All of my pottery is thrown on the wheel or hand built from slabs, extrusions, pinching or coils, which means each piece is unique and one of a kind. I use porcelain and stoneware clay that is fired twice, once to drive the moisture out. The second firing is the glaze firing which gives the piece its luscious coloring.

My ceramics are food safe, dishwasher safe and microwave safe, unless noted.

A substantial yunomi that I will use many ways, not just for tea. But it has me wanting to try some matcha tea. I will tell you it is always good when I get new drinking vessels as it helps me explore the cultures of eating and drinking and the traditions behind the wares we serve and eat and drink from. Thank you for enriching my daily life with your wares.

This beautiful mug arrived just in time for another Florida cold snap. I have been enjoying my hot tea with sugar and whole milk, just the way my Grams made for me when I was little. It fits in my hands perfectly and is one of my favorite colors a transparent celedon green that reminds of the color of the gulf waters here.

Absolutely gorgeous bowl from a very talented potter! Lighting fast shipping. I will be back, especially for your Industrial Revolution metal series teapots! Thank you!

About

Handcrafted Timeless Designs

Based in the northern suburbs of Chicago, ceramist Lou Pierozzi maintains his studio where he dedicates himself to creating artwork that is inspired by timeless designs. In his travels, Pierozzi explored countries including China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. He was deeply moved by the people he encountered and the cultures he experienced. He was also influenced by his exploration of ancient ceramics and uniquely stylized architecture. This is reflected in his work and inspires his organic patterns, fluid textures and peaceful colors. Pierozzi strives to strike a balance between form and function.
Pierozzi individually hand crafts each one of his ceramic pots on the potter’s wheel. He carefully designs each pot with thoughtfulness and style, so each piece is unique. He has been dedicated to his craft for over twenty five years, which is demonstrated in his ability to create exquisite work that can be both functional and cherished as a beautiful piece of art.
