About

Therapeutic crafting

I started my business to fulfill a long time dream of making what I love and sharing what I make with everybody else. I make all my products at home by hand and dream of owning my own small workshop one day.

I have always loved being surrounded by beautiful things, candles, decorations and things that are just that little bit different to everyone else's. I became fed up with mass produced items which didn't have a history or uniqueness, this inspired me to start creating and experimenting with what I love.

It took me a while to get my business together and it was only when I started to do my masters in counselling/psychotherapy that I became confident that I may actually be able to do this. I am still training but my counselling work has really inspired me to become more creative and I hope one day to combine both my loves, crafts and therapy into a full time business.

I currently work for the national health service in a mental health role. Part of this role requires me to provide craft activities for patients while they remain in inpatient care. I feel inspired by providing a space for people to become creative and express through art and crafts what they are unable to do due to illness. I know this work has really inspired me to continue and make my hobbies into a business.

I love creating beautiful and one of a kind items. After working in many jobs over the years I started working in mental health where I started to rediscover my creative side.
