I loved my first clock so much that I had to come back and get a second one for my office!

Keith ~ Thank you for this wonderful clock. It is so well made, superb really. Much better quality than I expected for the price. The color was very true to the photo. Your handwritten instructions and enclosed battery were much appreciated. Cheers! Antonya

I know you have a lot of choices, and I strive for exceptional design, quality, and service, with ready inventory delivered in 1-2 days via USPS.

I try to keep things fresh with new designs as often as I'm able to. The hard part is sticking to one project until it's refined, as I have many projects underway.

About the name:
Pilot Design came about to represent a vision for design that could encompass numerous possibilities and directions. A pilot light is a small flame that ignites a larger fire. The pilot of a plane or boat is someone who takes people places they may not have been before. A pilot program is one which is meant to discover viability for an idea. These are notions I want to evoke with my work.

GIVE-AWAYS:
I occasionally provide work for Give-aways for promotional reasons. My decision is primarily based on how much traffic your site gets, the requirements for the giveaway (lots of social networking is good) and the level/quality of any advertising that appears on your site.

SUSTAINABILITY:
Presently, I use a laminate with various colored bamboo patterns on them. They aren't real bamboo. I've looked into making my pieces from various sustainable materials, and it's extremely cost prohibitive. I may offer it in the future as a premium line. I do, however, work very hard to keep my waste down (no snickering) and I design pieces accordingly.

Items are packed in cornstarch-based foam peanuts that can be discarded in the trash, dissolved in water, or crumbled and added to a salad in place of crouton. Actually, they're super bland, so I wouldn't suggest it.
