I adore sparkle!

A happy accident began my glasswork obsession. Looking for an interesting diversion in the middle of a winter's day in New York, I went into a shop full of warmth and color and immediately signed up for a class in fusing.

Little did I know that watching glass melt and form into something different and beautiful would be something that drew me into a new world of color. It's a zen-like experience and a positive outlet for my energy.

Everything here is a one of a kind piece of art made in my small glass studio. A one person endeavor, learning the craft of glass fusing has fulfilled another creative outlet for me.

I learned about glasswork almost by accident looking for something new to do on a winter's day. I'm always drawn to color . . . add sparkle to that and I'm hooked. That was four years ago and I've evolved from attempting to create jewelry to just creating the part of a piece that catches the eye. I admire those of you who do work with intricate wires and such! But me, I'll just focus on the glass.

Three layers of glass with dichroic in the middle, I hand cut all using 96 COE art glass. I then design the pieces and fire them in my kiln. Annealing, the last step in the process, is very slowly cooling the hot glass to set as desired. I occasionally cold work the glass and fire and anneal as many times as necessary to achieve the effect I'm looking for.

I will gladly answer any questions you have regarding my work.
