What Glitters is Gold

Some people refer to unemployment as "funemployment," or describe it as a time to reflect, focus on self care, and keep your mind on positive things. This was not the case for me in 2011, when I graduated with my Bachelor's in Business Admin/Mgt after putting myself through college for TEN years. I believed I would find a job immediately, and put all that hard work and financial investment to good use. Well, looking back now, I did. I opened up my little space on the internet, originally named At the Pink of Perfection linking it to my blog, and decided to make my own way.

Fast forward to today, I am finishing up my MBA, and will be returning full time to the professional world in HR Management as I have worked for all these years, but still focusing all my creative energy into Luxe & Lacquer.

Not all my unemployment was dire and dark, I did grow a love for nail polish, which directed me into designing and commissioning nail polish frames and racks from my husband, leading to our first sales in 2012. Today I am just as obsessed with nail polish, my current collection well over 300 bottles last time I took an inventory.

This shop has been a blessing, not without challenges, but worth all the hard work. We hope to instill a smile or two in your day or in the day of a loved one.

    Franklin & Lucille are 9 month old miniature long-haired dachshunds, and serve in a support capacity of all kinds- mostly keeping us company snoozing away. They are paid in treats, squeaky toys, and lap naps.

    Andrew is the muscle behind Luxe and Lacquer, making nail polish frames and racks out in the shop in all extremes of weather, and always with a grateful heart. He is the backbone to us as a power couple and the shops.

Returns and exchange details
A 14 Day full-refund policy is offered on any jewelry piece if you are not happy with your item. This does not include any custom stamped or custom created pieces. The item must be shipped back to me within 14 days and not worn to be issued a refund or exchange for another item. Make sure you read the description for each piece before purchasing, and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!

If you place a custom order, it is not eligible for a refund, unless damaged in shipping or not the item we agreed upon.

Returns are not accepted on CUSTOM made valets, nail polish racks and frame racks. If it arrives damaged, we will be glad to take care of the insurance claim on it when you provide pictures of the damaged packaging and items.

Refunds will not be given for tarnished jewelry.

All jewelry items are shipped via USPS First Class Mail within 1-3 days of cleared payment. If you need your order shipped faster, please send me a message!

Nail polish racks are made to order unless otherwise specified, and ship within 1-2 weeks. These are shipped Priority Mail or UPS depending on size.

We are not responsible for any lost or damaged items that are not insured. Once dropped off at post office, we are no longer responsible for them. We are also not responsible for any customs fees, taxes, or import duties outside the US. Please contact me ahead of ordering with any questions!
Additional policies and FAQs
The materials used in all the jewelry is plated. Plated jewelry is a brass core, with a level of colored metal on top (silver, yellow or rose gold.) the earrings we sell can be upgraded to hypoallergenic .925 Silver or 14kt gold plated for additional charges, as noted on each applicable piece. Plated jewelry will tarnish- to extend the life of your jewelry, keep separate from other pieces, keep dry and clean of beauty products, and don't wear to workout or shower. Using plated metal keeps our prices reasonable and allows you to change jewelry as new styles come out!

All of our jewelry items have the option of adding gift wrap, please make a note in the notes section.
