Announcement    Huge thank you to my beautiful models - there are new photos in store showing some of my masks being worn in some glorious late afternoon sun in Melbourne. I have made more wheat packs they all have a Liberty fabric outer layer which is easily removed for washing. Replace by tying the ribbon. The high quality organic wheat is blown clean at a Gippsland boutique farm and is free from pests.

Masks starting to be needed in winter - mine are triple layered and fit neatly over nose and chin - adjustable for good fitting with the bead adjust elastic. The Liberty fabric is a fine woven thin cotton which is ideal for masks, The inner layer is a fine deluxe muslin and a cotton layer on the inside makes the third layer. They can be washed at 30 degrees and ironed for extra protection.

Kids size is now an option for masks. The mask is made 1 cm smaller than the adult mask and I recommend you buy with bead adjust elastic which will make them easily adjusted by little fingers. This size will fit a child from 6 - 11 years old My adult masks with bead adjust elastic are suitable for 12 years and up. I only recommend the large adult size if you have a larger face than normal or want a loose fit

Autumn is here in the Southern Hemisphere - refresh your mask stash with these lightweight breathable beautiful masks. The floral fresh Liberty fabric designs are perfect for the warmer months. If you don't have to wear your mask all the time, you can buy a mask pouch to match and carry it in your bag when you can't socially distance. I can make any mask in the adult or larger adult size. Request what you would like if different to the listing when you are at the checkout.

The Adult mask (can be adjusted to fit a teenage size best with bead adjusted elastic):
Bridge of nose to elastic 9.5 cm (Kids 8.0 cm)
Bridge of nose to chin 12cm (Kids 11cm )

The Larger Adult mask is:
Bridge of nose to elastic 10.5
Bridge of nose to chin 14 cm

Every card, face mask and earring is made from scratch by me - I cut, stamp, stick, iron, sew and design every card and mask - I love the process and hope you enjoy the result. I hand stamp and cut each part individually - every card is carefully put together by me. I make about 4 of each card design. You can be confident the card is a rare find and very few people will have one like it anywhere in the world.

I have based my masks on two patterns one recommended from the Department of Health in Australia and the other from a local craft store. I've combined the best of both patterns to make a super comfortable, lightweight breathable mask which won't be a skin irritant and can be washed many times. The outer layer is beautiful Liberty fabric tana lawn a light tightly woven cotton perfect for face masks.

My cards are made from high-quality card stock combined with beautiful Tana Lawn cotton fabric from Liberty of London. I stabilize the fabric using quilting techniques so I can use in the card design without the fabric fraying. A stash of cards could be a gift for someone who loves sending cards - I can gift wrap in box with tissue paper, matching ribbon and tag. What a beautiful care package to send in these difficult times of isolation

The cards are made almost exclusively using the high-quality Stampin up products and stamps. The Stampin up team creates the most amazing card, ink, ribbon and pens which perfectly match the Liberty fabric in both quality and style.

If you take time to write a message - it will be treasured

I have been visiting Liberty of London on Regent Street ever since I lived in London in 1988. Mostly I would just browse but occasionally I would buy some fabric to create something small. When we came to Australia I brought my fabric stash with me but picked up paper craft instead. I have always loved stationary; the love of cards and letter writing led to a lot of my time spent searching for a unique card which I thought was special. Then I realised I could make my own! I have explored many media but now focus on paper, card, ink and Liberty fabric. My quilting knowledge has helped me work out how to stabilise the fabric and I have also got some great friends who pass on their tips and hints

Lock down and the need for fabric masks for my family made me design a comfortable design for us all. I am a nurse so I was really keen to create a mask that was light weight and did not have itchy seams or staples. I think I succeeded and I am very proud of the result

And now I have progressed to tote bags, project bags and zipper pouches....

More coming soon

Frequently asked questions
Is the Liberty fabric genuine Liberty of London fabric?

Yes - the fabric used on my cards and masks, bags and zipper pouches is bought from the Liberty of London department store or from the 'Strawberry Thief' website based in Western Australia. Strawberry Thief have some amazing bespoke colourways so I recommend you check them out. The owner is very helpful. All the fabric is genuine Liberty and not a copy. There are many Liberty designs - some are classics and instantly recognisable while others are new and modern. Liberty still commissions new print designs some of which have recently been inspired by the Liberty back catalogue. I use some of the classic designs but love to use some of the new ones too especially if I can see a way to make the design pop off the card.

Are your card, mask or bag designs using Liberty fabric affiliated with Liberty of London?

No - none of my designs using Liberty fabric are not affiliated or associated with Liberty of London. If I have used a bough pattern or adapted the pattern in any way the designer is acknowledged in the description of the item

Custom and personalised orders

Yes I would love to create you a card especially for someone special in your life. Send me an idea of what you would like, maybe a photo, colour or occasion using the custom tab

I can also do event invitations. Initially I would need an idea of colour, event location and over all feel i.e. casual, formal. From there I can send you several options and a price range. I ask for a $150 for the design phase and then if you proceed this is taken off the final price. For weddings of 100 invitation or more you need to allow 6 months for the whole process if you want to send invites 6 weeks before date. Send me your initial thoughts via a custom box or via a conversation message - we can enjoy creating together.

What card do you use?

I use the high quality coordinated products manufactured by Stampin’ Up! and value their strong commitment to eco-friendly practices.

Their cardstock includes paper left over from other paper runs so the darker the cardstock color, the more recycled material it contains and their packing materials are 100% recycled material.

Paper comes from sustainably managed forests and excess rubber from the stamps is used as the ground rubber in playgrounds.

The card and colours from Stampin Up is consistently excellent quality and they go very well with the Liberty fabric. It is important to me that I can source very good quality card that compliments the amazing Liberty Fabric designs I use

Why do I love working and designing with Liberty Fabric?

I love dress making and soft furnishing but when I came to Australia in 2002 I had brought my Liberty fabric stash with me so I decided to combine my two loves - paper craft cards and Liberty fabric. I have been using the fabric in my designs for many years now but have needed to buy more fabric!

Liberty fabric is consistently high quality - it elevates any creation to something special

Now I am doing more sewing than card making!! Mainly due to the success of my masks but also the lovely tote bags and zipper pouches I have enjoyed creating. Many Liberty designs have art deco as their inspiration. The art deco philosophy of well made beautiful every day objects means denim is a perfect fabric to pair with Liberty.

Care instructions

The bags should be washed by hand in a gentle wash with warm water. The masks can be washed in a standard washing machine 30 degrees and I recommend a quick iron to ensure perfectly germ free
