5 out of 5 starsMy gate signs are perfect. I had a slight issue with the cord breaking on one - but Dawn replied to me immediately and offered to send me a replacement leather cord. Very helpful and quick to reply. The signs are well made and shipped quickly. A perfect way to remind the lawn care team to keep my pups safe and enclosed.

Follow Your Dreams.
For years I visited a local business where the owner handcrafted decorative slate signs for her customers. Each slate sign was a work of art. Boy, did I admired her work. There was just something about the rugged beauty of the slate showcasing a lovely image on it displayed next to the front door of a farmhouse, on a kitchen wall, or even displayed in a timeless black wrought iron slate sign holder that called to me. I wanted to do what she did for a living, but I had a family to raise and bills to pay, so I couldn't quit my day job to follow my dream right then, which really got me down.
None the less, in 2008, I took a baby step and created The Pip Berry Tree on Etsy as a way to motivate myself to follow my dream of selling decorative slate signs and stop being a slave to the residential/commercial cleaning service that I owned and operated that was all but sucking the life out of me. Okay. The money was great while cleaning for a living, and I could set my own hours, but I was super unhappy doing something I didn't like to do just to make money and not what was really in my heart, so I took a leap of faith by creating my online presence.
Starting out was slow going and a bit disheartening at times, but I stuck it out, joined an Etsy team, and really honed my skills regarding slate sign design, marketing, customer service, and growing my brand. Then low and behold, business picked up during the Christmas season of 2012, and I haven't looked back. I have since sold thousands of my slate signs all over the world to happy customers.
I love being my own boss and creating not only one of a kind slate signs for folks, but also utilizing my store platform to support Woody's Place Senior German Shepherd Sanctuary, which is a 501 c3 nonprofit organization that provides long term, top-notch care to displaced senior German Shepherds eight years and older. There's nothing more rewarding than doing what you love for a living and supporting a nonprofit organization while doing it!
