I began Piper's Place as a side project while I was in my second year at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising(FIDM.) I wanted to keep all my Illustrator and Photoshop skills I had acquired in tip-top shape while I was taking my other classes. I soon realized my personal projects could easily be turned into products. Having run small websites and businesses before, I decided start a small business that I could manage while I was finishing up my degree. I was very excited at the prospect of being able to run another small business, but for the first time I could apply my skills from school into this new business. Within no time, Piper's Place was born.
The concept behind Piper's Place is creating beautiful products while leaving the lowest footprint possible- hence my method of digital shipping. I have always been a bit of a DIYer, so I was very excited to share this concept with others. My method of shipping products through email means there is no packaging materials, no delivery vehicles, and no gas is needed to get my products out to customers. Products sent as files versus pre-printed also gives customers options, which is very important to me. Choosing their paper and where they choose to have the files printed are just a few of these options my customers get to decide on. This promotes shopping at and supporting local business. Having the ability to choose any paper can lead to customers selecting eco-conscious options. All together, this creates a healthier, more sustainable environment, while still delivering my products to my customers (worldwide!) that I could have shipped to them the standard way.
Many people ask me about how I came up with the name Piper's Place and why everything in the shop is signed "Piper and Jamie." Piper is the name of my kitty who I adopted in June of 2011 when she was just 4 months old. Our vet was trying to find homes for a litter of abandoned kittens, and while I did not set out to pick Piper, or even bring a kitten home that day, she picked me. Anyone reading who has ever adopted an animal before, I'm sure you can relate. Would I have it any other way? Of course not. From day one she has always been full of energy and life and has been terrific help with any project, meal prep, packages received in the mail, and pest control (only the occasional unfortunate spider or fly.) I had thought of many names for my Etsy store, but Piper's Place really stuck with me. It just had that perfect ring to it that I was looking for!
Lately, I have been trying to expand my store outside of Etsy and onto a solo website. In February 2014, I began offering my first printed products. Shortly afterwards I had to close down shop while I moved. Due to space and time constraints, I am just now getting things back up and running. I am working on updating my workspace, which I am very excited about. I see many great things for the future of Piper's Place, new products, more customers, and much more!

Accepted payment methods
- Accepts Etsy gift cards
Payment must be received within 24 hours or item will be re-listed.
Should you need to cancel your order, cancellation must be made before the files have been sent. If you purchased a custom item, the order must be canceled before the first mock up has been sent to you.
Digital Orders: Shipping is free worldwide since our digital products ship via email. (Hooray!)
IMPORTANT: We will ship items to your ETSY account email.
Our orders will now be shipped from contact [!at] pipersplacestore.com or transactions [!at] etsy.com. We highly recommend adding both addresses to your contacts so our email has less of a chance ending up in the dreadful Spam folder.
Once your payment is processed, an e-mail will be sent to your ETSY email with a download link. This generally takes 10 minutes or less. It will be specified on the listing whether or not it is an instant download.
All of our product's turnaround times are specified on each individual listing. If you would like something other than what is specified on the listing, please send us a message.
Please place your order with enough time before your event for us to create the design and go over mock ups with you. We are not responsible for files received after an event deadline.
Refunds and Exchanges
There are no refund on custom orders. We will gladly work with you if you are not satisfied with your purchase. If you have begun working with us on a customized item and have already paid for the item and wish for a refund, you may not be refunded in full depending on how completed the project is.
Please back up your files once they are downloaded. This can be done on a flash drive, disk, external hard drive, another computer, etc.. Should you lose your purchase, please contact us with the order number or item. Custom orders will be saved for 6 months on our personal storage. If you ordered a custom item longer than 6 months ago, it will need to be repurchased and recreated.

Our Instant Download products are sent exactly as specified on the page. As of February 2014, we are no longer offering changes to our instant download items or non-personalized items.
PERSONALIZED LISTINGS AND MOCK-UPS/REVISIONS
Personalized listings come with three free mock-ups/ revisions. Mock-ups and revisions made after the first three will be added to the price of your design. We will send an invoice through Paypal once all revisions have been made and the design is finalized.
We do not send out our original Illustrator files. Most of our files are sent as .pdf and .png files.
*Please note that a slight color variation may occur on printed materials depending on the printer you use compared to what you see on your computer screen. We strongly encourage you to print out our color chart (preferably on the paper you will be using) and choose your colors that way.
*Your projects can be printed either at home, at a local print shop, or from an online resource. You will get the most accurate colors by printing at a local print shop or from an online resource.
*For business cards: You have the option of getting them printed online at a business card printing website like moo.com or vistaprint.com, which is often much more efficient than printing them on your own. If print with moo.com, you can get 10% off your first set of business cards here; http://www.moo.com/share/j2jwkb.
AFTER THE DESIGN HAS BEEN SENT
*Piper's Place is not responsible for any errors once design is approved.
*Any additional edits after final files are sent are subject to additional fees.
*No watermarks will appear on final files.
DISPLAYING PIPER'S PLACE PRODUCTS
You are more than welcome to share photos of your projects, creations, events that incorporated our products on your website, blog, or newsletter. We do ask that you give credit to us, and that you will not imply any elements purchased from Piper's Place were created by you.
WITH OUR ITEMS, YOU CANNOT:
1. Sell our items as is or altered or claim as your own. All copyrights remain with Piper's Place at all times.
2. Use any of our items in a freebie package for download.
3. Sell or share our items in layered documents such as Photoshop layered images, Illustrator documents, or a flattened document with our item on a white background where your customer can extract our design.
4. Create a digital collage sheet with our items and send our graphics to your customer in digital form.
COMMERCIAL USE LICENSE
A commercial use license can be purchased for small commercial use of certain items in our shop. These items include our scrapbooking papers and clipart.
Buying our commercial license:
*Give you the right to use our papers or clipart in your products, logos, web design, etc, without having to give credit to Piper’s Place.
*Give you the right to resell our items or claim them your own creation.
Copyright remains with Piper’s Place. By purchasing the commercial use license, you agree with the terms above.
