Very nice design! Great that all text fields can be adjusted or even removed if you want. Instructions are very clear. Definitely interested in buying more templates that we can use for our wedding.

About

The Birth of a Paper Company

Pipkin Paper Company has been my dream for as long as I can remember.

In 2015, I quit my job as a business analyst and moved from Washington, DC, to Richmond, Virginia, with my husband, Chuck. With no job prospects lined up and desperately needing some time off, I started a resume design company on Etsy called Polished Resume Design (you can check us out here if you'd like to learn more: https://www.etsy.com/shop/PolishedResumeDesign).

I didn't know it at the time, but I really just needed a safe place to start before diving into the paper scene and resumes seemed like a solid jumping off point. While I loved (and still love) designing resumes, I always dreamed of creating a much larger range of paper products that would allow me to incorporate creative, hand drawn accents and fresh, punchy ideas.

Thus Pipkin Paper Company was born in January 2016.

Starting with wedding paper, we will gradually be expanding into party invitations, stationery, calendars and planners -- all aimed at the fun, creative woman.

Thanks for checking us out!

Frequently asked questions

CAN I CHANGE THE ARTWORK / CALLIGRAPHY COLORS?

Yes! We recently updated all of our templates to include color-changeable artwork and hand-lettered calligraphy. All you need to do is click on the image and change the fill color to match your wedding colors. Instructions explaining how to do this in more detail are included with each template.

CAN I CHANGE THE SIZE OF THE TEMPLATE?

Yes, template sizes are fully customizable. Instructions for how to change the size of the template are included in the instruction document you will receive with your order. Depending on how much larger or smaller you make your template, you might need to resize the font and rearrange some of the text boxes to keep everything centered and balanced.

I NEED AN INVITATION INSERT THAT I DON'T SEE LISTED, CAN YOU MAKE IT FOR ME?

Definitely! We hope to one day have all the invitations and matching insert templates that you might possibly need, but it's a slow process. If you need an insert and you don't see one in the shop, you can buy our Custom Matching Insert add-on (http://etsy.me/1Vq6Qgm) and let us know in the notes section at checkout exactly what you would like. We will make it especially for you and email it to the email address you have on file with Etsy in about 24 hours.

HOW SHOULD I PRINT MY INVITATIONS?

Our templates were designed to be printed at home on your standard office printer because, let's be honest, it's faster, cheaper, and a lot easier than working with a professional printer.

However, many of our customers have had success having them professionally printed as well. But every printer is different and they will have their own quality requirements, which sometimes Microsoft Word is unable to achieve. A best practice is to obtain a word template from your printer with the layout they require, and then to copy/paste from our template into theirs. Then save the file as a PDF before sending it to your printer.

CAN I USE JUST THE DRAWING FOR MY WEDDING FAVORS?

We have no problem in selling you just the illustration for you to use on your wedding favors. Or if you would like to purchase a template and receive the illustration in a separate PNG file, we can do that as well. Just send us a message.

WHAT PAPER DO YOU RECOMMEND?

Any standard, heavy duty card stock will work. We personally love Paper Source for pretty, high end wedding paper.

CAN I CHANGE/ADD/REMOVE THE TEXT?

Yes, all text is completely editable unless otherwise noted in the listing. We would love it if you would re-word our templates so they completely suit you. You can even add or remove entire sections of text if you'd like.

WHAT SOFTWARE CAN I USE TO EDIT THE TEMPLATE?

Our templates were designed for use in Word 2008 or later. You may use other software to edit them but we cannot guarantee they will work properly if using any other software.

WHERE CAN I GET THE FONTS YOU USED?

Each template comes with a detailed font guide that tells you where to find the example fonts and how to install them on your computer. Every font we use either comes standard with your computer or is available for free on the internet UNLESS it happens to be hand lettered script in which case we will note it in the listing.

WHAT SIZE ENVELOPES SHOULD I BUY?

For our invitations and save the dates we recommend standard A7 (5 1/4" x 7 1/4") envelopes, and for our RSVP cards we recommend A2 (4 3/8" x 5 3/4") envelopes. Any brand will do but we're particularly smitten with the colors and quality available at Paper Source.
