Announcement   I love to make stuff.

Exactly what that stuff is depends on the whims of the creative part of my brain.

I've been doing daily art at #10minsbeforebed on instagram for over a year now, and thought I'd offer up some originals as a kind of pop-up shop kind of thing, because I don't think I'm ready to have a full blown etsy shop quite yet.

I'm also a photographer, knitter, crocheter, calligrapher and letterer in training and have previously sold hand-dyed fibre.

About

Art every day: practice makes progress

On the 1st of August 2015 I started a new project, using the hashtag #10minsbeforebed. My plan was to carve out ten minutes, in every day, before I went to bed, to create a piece of art, and post t to Instagram using that hashtag.

When I started I didn't honestly think I'd finish the week, never mind the month, but I did. And then I kept going. And going. And every day since, no matter what, I've created a piece of art every day. Sometimes more than one. Sometimes (often) it's taken more than 10 minutes. But along side making me a better artist, it's been a lifeline. It's kept me going when all about me was going to hell. And though every day the art I do is for me, I've been gratified by others liking it too. And delighted when the occasional purchase request has been made. So I've decided to take a pop up shop approach here. As a way to manage these requests. And to see how things go.

If you'd like to follow along with my progress, you can find me on Instagram as pixeldiva or use the hashtag #10minsbeforebed.
