Hello! I am very excited to open this new little shop. It was a little seedling, planted years ago. I've been an Etsy seller for seven years. My other shop, www.chickabiddybaby.etsy.com gave me an outlet to create sweet things for babies and children. It has enabled me to stay home with my young daughter, Novi, who is three. As happy as I was making dollies and stuffies, something was missing. Ever inspired by music, lyrics, poetry and the works of my favorite writers, I decided to marry my favorite pieces with my love of jewelry. I'm an old soul and I wanted the pieces I create to reflect my love of history, magic, music, and poetry. Each piece is OOAK. The technique is an old one...crochet. The beading and embellishments are sewn by hand. I love to scour flea markets, antique stores, junk shops, my own back yard. If you have a favorite song or poem, I can work with you to create something to bring it to life.

Adornments inspired by music and poetry....

My name is René Harper. I live in Omaha , Nebraska with my husband, Stan, and three year old daughter, Novella, and mongrel Russo. I create in our creaky, little, hundred year old bungalow. Recently, I became a grandmother when my daughter Savanna gave birth to a beautiful little boy named Lux. I have been an Etsy seller for seven years. My first shop, www.chickabiddybaby.etsy.com has been my baby. It has allowed me to stay home with Novi and create special pieces for babies and children. I have built up a strong customer base and learned so much along the way. But there was a whole other side of myself that needed expressing. A lover of music, poetry, books, quotes and words in general...I have always been sensitive to what mood all of these things convey. They permeate every area of my life... From what I cook, how I dress, what I dream, what I create. I have been moved to create adorning pieces that bring to life my favorite words and songs. The aesthetic is Bohemian, earthy, elvish, rough hewn, organic, spiritually eclectic, worldly...whatever my old soul can conjure up. In time, I will also be introducing curiosities such as natural specimens and pieces for the home with the above mentioned aesthetic.

Lover of music, poetry, words, the 70's, the 20's, boho, hippie, gypsy, magic, elvish, woodsy, whimsical, antiques, dusty books, tinkly bells, feathers, worn denim, linen, lace, leather, fringe, herbs, stones, flora and fauna....I create pieces that call these things to mind. Each piece is OOAK, handmade, dreamed of, hand sewn, hand beaded and blessed. If you have a favorite poem or song or quote, I can work with you to create something special that brings it to life. Returns and exchanges
I take special care and concern when wrapping, packing and shipping. However, things happen. I will do my best to work with you if there is a damaged product as no one wants their treasure tainted. I want you to love your special piece and then recommend me to all of your friends.
Payment
I accept paypal and credit cards. I will also accept personal checks and money orders. However, no shipments will go out until I have the money in my little paws. If you are paying via paypal or credit card, payment the day of purchase is appreciated unless you have contacted me. If you have questions, please message me.
Shipping
I ship USPS first class most often. If you are purchasing something that is ready to ship, it will go out the next business day. If you are purchasing something that is Made To Order or a custom piece, the turn around time is 3 weeks. Each piece is hand crochet and delicately hand sewn and beaded. The little aged books take time to properly age :) I am very communicative and vocal and will always answer a query in a timely manner. Just ask.
Additional policies and FAQs
As stated above....custom pieces take time. I will be very communicative about time considerations. If I am creating something special for you expect banter and some back and forth while I get a feel for your aesthetic and vibe. Right now custom pieces run at least 3 weeks...4 for the aged book pieces.
