Pixie Vintage Home was born from a love of sweet vintage charm and enduring quality.

There's just something about things that are worn and loved....
I (like so many) have a real appreciation for the quality, charm and history of vintage décor. I think it's because in our fast-paced world where things change so quickly, there is a yearning for simplicity, comfort and tradition. My goal is to bring customers charm and character to warm their home....so that these items can live on and begin a new chapter, in a new place. My favorite era is the 1930's-1940's (I think I was born in the wrong time!)...the music, the fashion, and of course the charming décor!

I grew up in an auction family. My grandfather and father owned an auction/appraisal company, at which I worked for many years...through high school, college, and even a little beyond. I found myself really missing this environment as I've gotten older and have recently dove back in. My appreciation for vintage has also been influenced by my grandmother... I have such warm, fond memories of going to her home, which epitomized cozy vintage style. Hearing her stories of growing up (and living through so much) and valuing quality things (when she could afford them) really stuck with me. I am always interested in the story of these relics....not necessarily of their collectible value....but where they've been and what times they've seen and what lives they've been a part of.

In addition to searching for and collecting vintage treasures, I also dabble in creating some one-of-a-kind hand-made decorative pieces using sweet images from the past. These include hand-painted and decopauged plaques and signs, ornaments, wine/gift tags, paperweights and various re-purposed/upcycled items. Creating art has always been a very necessary part of my life! This comes from my mother, a terrific artist and wonderful mentor.

Additional policies and FAQs
Due to the nature of vintage items, there may be small imperfections not listed in description (Please expect normal vintage wear on most items). I do my best to describe accurately and take detailed photos. Do not hesitate to ask for further clarification or additional pictures before you buy. My goal is for you to always be happy with your purchases!

I take care in cleaning items, but do not always scrub or soak, especially delicate or fragile pieces, so I leave the heavy duty cleaning to the buyer. Linens are washed and pressed. Most of my pieces come from auctions or thrift shops, but when they are in my home, they are in a clean, smoke-free environment. If anything has a particular musty odor (from time to time, things have come out of long-term storage!), I will disclose that. My policy is that I only sell things that I would proudly display in my own home.
