Hot pink lizard in process.
These beautiful japanese fabrics are definitely one of the reasons why I started sewing. I used a lot of them in my early works and using them in my chalk bags feels like coming home. :D

About

Sorry, we don't sell gyoza....

....But we do have wonderful handmade goods special for you!

Every shop needs a name, even if sometimes it doesn't quite make sense. I chose "PlanetGyoza" to be the not-making-too-much-sense name of the shop. Gyoza is fried dumpling in Japanese and I am a huge fan of fried dumplings and Japanese style cooking.

Two years ago, I didn't expect I would own a shop online. I didn't even think I could actually make all the handcrafts that I am making right now. And then I began rock climbing.

You might wonder what does rock climbing have to do with sewing and crafting? The connection is the chalk bag. That's right! A handmade chalk bag. Since we need to wear a chalk bag to hold chalk when we are climbing, I got the idea that I should make my own special chalk bag using the fabric I like! Therefore chalk bag was my first handcraft project and now I have three different chalk bags and I am planning making more of them!

Meanwhile, I began making other items such as cellphone pouches, wallets and kitchenwares. Some of them were made as gifts for my friends. They told me the best moment was when they opened the gift and found it's just as cute as they had imagined! Such a happy moment for them and for me. Such moments finally gave me all the courage I need to start a shop. I wanted to share these surprises with everyone!

“Ichi-go ichi-e", literally "One time, one meeting". It's a Japanese phrase from tea master Sen no Rikyu. It means one chance in a lifetime. I see each handcraft as the "Ichi-go ichi-e" and hope every one of you who comes to my shop find yours!

Love hand sewing. Love rock climbing. I started hand sewing because I wanted a unique chalk bag!
