All of our pottery is handcrafted in my basement studio. I typically use stoneware clay, and fire to cone 5. Each piece is glazed using lead-free, food-safe materials.
I have been blessed with an incredibly supportive husband and two amazing children who inspire me daily. I've always had a love of crafts ... there is something about creating a product from scratch and holding it withing your hands that is fascinating to me. I have been a potter since 1997, and I try to infuse a bit of myself into every piece that I make, and merge my love of mediums into new art forms. My vases and platters were created from using my traditional scrapbooking stamps on my clay one day, and discovering a whole new world of personalization. My paper products and random media projects are available at www.ellamuffin.etsy.com
While Plays With Mud and EllaMuffin are my passions, I do have a "day job" that also keeps me quite busy.
