How Playthings Studio got started:
We all have tactile, sensory and stimulatory needs, and yet touch is the least appealed to sense in our professional and personal lives. Playthings Studio fidget jewelry was designed to help us get through the day, replace our bad habits, build our confidence, and help us accept our need for stimulation.
What you will love about Playthings Studio:
Functional design that works as a discrete, stigma-free, empowering, “grown-up” alternative to fidget toys. Playthings Studio jewelry spins, flips, rolls, and slides in your hands, allowing you to connect to a sense of touch and engage your subconscious brain in a healthy, therapeutic, motor-control-focused activity that doesn’t hurt or cause insecurity the way biting your nails does.
Help me spread the word:
I dreamed up Playthings Studio to be part of a larger discussion about accessibility and functional design. I would love to create a community of customers and subscribers who like my ideas and want to see them succeed. Tell 1 person who doesn’t know about Playthings Studio yet that they can find us on etsy at www.playthingsstudio.etsy.com
XOXO

5 out of 5 starsI got the solar eclipse necklace as a Christmas gift for my sister who has pretty bad ADHD. She loves it, hasn’t taken it off all day. She’s had lots of fun discovering new ways to play with the necklace. Thanks for making such a great interactive piece of wearable art! 12/10 would recommend ✨

5 out of 5 starsMy entire experience with Playthings Studio was wonderful! Jessi is creative, talented and responsive. I love this ring. Its fun, super pretty and made with quality material. The movement and sound it makes as I absentmindedly fidget with it is deeply satisfying. I received it earlier than expected which was a bonus! Buy this jewelry, you won’t be disappointed!

About PlaythingsStudio
Jewelry you can play with!
Playthings Studio kinetic jewelry is right for you...
If you are looking for a stigma-free way to ground yourself in the present moment, focus on tasks, offer others your attention without causing a distraction, replace bad habits, occupy your hands, and engage in adaptive behaviors - all while representing yourself confidently, with style, and with the ease, accessibility and peace of mind that you're able to play with something you're wearing.
THE ARTIST
Jessi Stead is a self-taught jewelry artist who uses unconventional cold-fusion techniques to combine simple geometric parts into complex, three-dimensional shapes that are bold, new, and empowering. Her stubborn unwillingness to create immobile pieces (even though they are beautiful) is felt in the interest and invitation of each piece that seems to need the touch of a wearer to be fully understood.
