5 out of 5 starsThese hooks are just what I was looking for to hang tools around my wood stove. Not too big, they don't protrude too far -- they're just as described. I would certainly purchase these or perhaps other items from this seller and would recommend to friends. Five stars *****

Our products are truly made by hand.

The blacksmith forge on a January evening.
-
The Forge at Pleasant Valley is Dan & Emily Stevenson, a husband & wife team of makers.
-
We grow the calendula and other herbs used in our natural body care items.
-
The feathers used in some of our creations are from the birds that call our farm home, like this peacock.
A Real Family Farm in Tionesta, PA
The Stevensons have owned & operated Pleasant Valley Farm in Tionesta, PA, just outside the Allegheny National Forest, since 1990. Dan and his wife Emily are the second generation of Stevensons to care for the land here. Pleasant Valley Farm markets organic produce & herbs, humanely raised meats, and canned products that make the most of the gardens' bounty directly to the public at their farm stand on the historic 50-acre farm. The farm stand is open each year from Memorial Day weekend through the end of November. We welcome the public to see where the food is grown and raised. We also allow visitors to get up close and even feed the birds at our farm.
The farm is home to 100+ year old buildings (the barn was built in 1894 and isn't even the oldest building here!), heirloom plants, heritage breeds of livestock like Dexter cattle, Bourbon Red turkeys, Belgian work horses and Delaware & Barred Rock chickens, as well as a variety of other animals and birds, even including peacocks! Emily and Dan farm without any employees, except the team of Belgian horses used in the fields. Emily and Dan are passionate about preserving historic, endangered species of vegetables and livestock, as well as antique machinery and the knowledge of how to do things the old-fashioned way.
Emily and Dan love to build, create and do. Dan built a blacksmith shop here at the farm and creates beautiful hand-forged metal work using a coal fire, anvil, hammers and other hand tools, just as these items would traditionally have been made. In fact, our farm was even known locally as the home to a talented blacksmith over a century ago! The old forge still stands and is the oldest building on the farm, but is no longer safe to use as a forge. The new forge incorporates elements of the old one, including century old tools made right here, and overlooks the former forge.
Emily creates a variety of products for the shop. The natural body care items came from her desire to use wholesome products without harmful chemicals. Many of the plants used in the recipes are grown organically on the farm. She loves to use vintage patterns with modern fabrics to create beautiful, useful pieces that cane be enjoyed for years to come. She creates jewelry from a variety of items including feather from the peacocks that live on the farm and genuine crystals. Each piece is handmade and one of a kind!
