5 out of 5 starsThis zine has definitely become a favourite of mine, and had a big impact on a friend I lent it to as well. It's such an empowering little work and really left me feeling validated and capable of making a difference in these issues I hold so dearly, while for my friend it was a really eye opening read to things they hadn't really considered before. Its lead to some great conversations already! I especially appreciated the encouraging, non-judgemental tone of the writing and the tips that can be applied to other topics of activism as well. 11/10!

5 out of 5 starsLove this!! I currently work as a Sexual Assault Response Coordinator, and work with the military. This a great tool to provide those I’m giving training to, to help them develop a better understanding of consent, and what consent looks like. I will be putting in a bulk order! Great job on this product!

A scheme to make good things happen
Hi, I'm Nicole. I started Pleasure Pie in August 2014 when I was accepted to table at a zine fest. What I didn't mention in my zine fest application was that all the cool zines and things I had to offer were still concepts in my head, not actual print materials. Fortunately, I was so excited for my first fest that I completed all of the project ideas that had been floating around in my head for months in just a few weeks. This included the Choose Your Own Consensual Adventure zine, What's Your Contraceptive Personality quiz, and half a dozen sex positive illustrations which became the Pleasure Pie 2014 Illustrated Half Calendar.
When I debuted my work at the zine fest, a lot of people there were excited about and supportive of what I had created. It meant a lot to have positive feedback on the projects that were so important to me. This encouragement inspired me to move forward with creating new Pleasure Pie materials, and explore the ways that Pleasure Pie could expand.
In the years since my first zine fest, Pleasure Pie has grown into a platform for all of my sex positive activism. I've thrown Pleasure Pie events, done performances, and started a local sex positive discussion group in Boston. You can see all of this and more at pleasurepie.org.
