Capturing Memories to Last a Lifetime

Polka Dot Print Shop was established during an afternoon nap in late 2011 when I opened up an Etsy shop on a whim. I decided to share the baby book that I created for my own child with other mamas looking for something modern and unique. The response was overwhelming and that drove me to perfect the process of producing each book in a timely and professional manner, yet still allowing for customization and personalization.

As a mama to 4 kiddos (5 years and under!), I know that free time is hard to come by. Filling out a baby book tends to take a back seat to the daily tasks of parenting. Keeping that in mind, I designed a book that hits all of the important milestones, yet doesn't require hours upon hours to fill out. Polka Dot Print Shop's Baby Books reflect a simplistic and timeless design that appeals to modern moms and dads.

Today, I manage Polka Dot Print Shop from my home office just outside of Houston, Texas. All books are printed in the USA and hand assembled during nap time and late into the evening hours. I take pride in designing, assembling and packaging each and every order that comes across my desk.

Frequently asked questions

Can I personalize the hardcover?

Unfortunately, personalization is not an option on the hardcovers due to the manufacturing process.

What kind of paper do you use?

We use an 80# bright white card stock. This paper is sturdy, smooth and acid free and archival. You also won’t have to worry about ink bleeding through because of the thickness.

Can I mix and match the color of the cover and inside pages?

Yes, no problem! Just make a note when you checkout.

Are the expansion packs bound inside of my baby book?

Yes, assuming the book and expansion packs are purchased at the same time.

What pen do you recommend?

Any scrapbooking or archival pen is your best bet for longevity’s sake. Personally, I love the Sharpie extra fine pens.

How quickly can I expect my order?

Most hardcover orders will ship within 2-3 business days. Personalized softcovers take a bit longer, as they are made to order. Please allow up to 14 days for shipment on those.

Please note, that orders placed on weekends will not start processing until Monday.

How many photo pages are included in a standard book?

There are a total of 28 single-sided photo pages, including 1 for each monthly milestone page, 5 at the back and lots scattered throughout the book.

Can I make a change to my order before it ships?

Changes can be made, in most cases, within 24 hours of purchase. Please contact us with your order number and change requests. We will do our best to accommodate.

My tracking number isn’t working, now what?

Please allow 24-48 hours for your tracking to update. USPS doesn’t always scan packages (and activate tracking) until they have reached the North Houston sorting location, which is sometimes 24 hours after shipping has been initiated.

My package arrived damaged, now what?

Please submit pictures and documentation of all damage immediately. We will then initiate an insurance claim through USPS and send replacement items to you.
