Love this pattern!
I started making dolly clothes when I was very little and my Sindy and Pippa dolls were always kitted out in my latest creations. My Mum had a friend who worked in the lingerie industry as a designer and she would pass little bits of lace and fabric to me to turn into pretty little things. I gradually grew out of this and became a depressed teenager who sat in her room knitting mohair sweaters like a demon only to wear them later itching and sweating with a face like a slapped baboon!
I met my husband Kev when I was just 15 and we married at 19 had Sophie at 22 and Tom at 25. As you can imagine these were busy years! As a stay at home Mum I dabbled in all sorts of money making (or not!) schemes, including jewelry making, dress making, investing in a knitting machine, and finally deciding I needed to finally contribute to the household so I did a days work at our Family engineering business Pollard Engineering. This has led to finally running the business alongside my hubby. We have ridden out the recession and hopefully will carry on the family tradition!
In 2007 we were very lucky to have a wonderful trip round the world and our last port of call was Tokyo. Here I found my first Blythe which sparked off a renewed interest in dolly designing. When we came home I got busy straight away and opened my own etsy shop.
My designs are forever changing and I now offer my patterns for sale and pretty yarn to make them with. I want to inspire future dolly designers too!
I love my dolls and I really love knitting and crocheting and stitching. I hope that you like what I create in my little studio.
Owner, Maker, Designer
Hello! My name is Jane Pierrepont but my nickname is Polly (comes from my maiden name of Pollard). I live in Derbyshire in the UK with my husband Kev, son Tom, 2 cats. and 3 hens and spend lots of my time making dolly designs and knitting patterns.
Rose Pollard (my Grandmother)
My 92 year old Grandmother Rose wanted to start helping me knit dolly clothes (she does have her own Blythe doll) So I agreed as long as she is a good girl! She helped teach me to knit when I was little :)
Welcome to my little emporium of dolly designs!
I love making dolly clothes and try to come up with new ideas regularly. Please get in touch if you want anymore information.
