About

Handmade Waldorf dolls for imagination, inspiration and play.

I am passionate about providing a fun, inspirational and educational environment for my girls which nurtures their creativity and ingenuity.
I started to make dolls for them to bring back the part of childhood that is often forgotten with today’s world of screens, electronic toys, plastic dolls and indoor, passive play.

Play only requires the very basic to stimulate a universe of imagination, creating the most magical of moments. My Waldorf dolls are designed to have simple expressions and use natural materials to allow the child's creativity to develop. When creating a doll I think about the child who will play with the doll and how they will interact with it, thinking about their age group and what they need their cloth friend to be.

Take a look at my dolls - they are designed for children to play with and I wish every child could have access to a Waldorf inspired doll. I try hard to offer a range of dolls to suit all budgets.

I care passionately about our environment so I use natural materials and make dolls that will last. I source high quality fabrics from Westfallenstoffe in Germany and De Witte Engel in The Netherlands. Inside the dolls the stuffing is 100% British lambswool - wool stuffing is a crucial element of the Waldorf doll philosophy.

I live in Staplehurst, Kent, UK and all my dolls are made in my home workshop. Staplehurst is a pretty little village in the weald of Kent - Darling Buds of May by HE Bates is based here. The open countryside and beautiful weather inspires my work.

My Grandma, Polly, was always such a huge inspiration and support to me as a child growing up. She always believed in me and so I have named my shop after her.
