I started making jewelry in my Mom and aunties art studio. They had started there journey with all of my great Aunt Enda's fabulous finds, of years of shopping the flea markets, antique stores, tag sales, anywhere having a great sale. Aunt Edna somewhat an ecentric so her collection were sometimes very different, possibly strange, yet somehow absolutely beautiful. Aunt Edna was an original picker of sorts and collected from a very early age until her wings to heaven at 92. Aunt Edna whom never had children of her own would take my mother Lynda and her cousin my Auntie Joyce on these little excursions as she called her afternoon shopping jaunts to teach them the finer points of "The Hunt". And learn they did. Aunt Edna upon her passing left all these fabulous finds and treasures of hers to my mom and auntie Joyce. They worked many a year collecting more trinkets and such and them combining them into wonderful art and jewelry pieces and ended up selling their unique style through the years at different art shows, and as they grew older right here on Etsy with a shop called POORAUNTEDNA. In 2015 my Auntie Joyce had an emergancy illness that required surgery. She made it through but the healing and rehab do to complications took well over a year. While that was happening I stepped into the little art studio they had and helped with things while my aunt recouperated. During this last year My mom and auntie decided that they would rather continue on " The Hunts" only and I bought the fabulous finds, trinkets and treasures from them. I might add they sold me everything for $1.00. Seemed like a reasonable price for me to continue on my journey of being the mad artist
