I am very happy with this jewelry box. It is absolutely lovely and beautifully painted. Michelle even put 3 little shells in the box. It was carefully packed and arrived on time.

This is the first I've heard of this but I suppose that is the holiday spirit. This shipping cost were appropriate. I sent it 2 day mail just for her in order to receive before the holidays. .

About

Porcelain Painting

I started Porcelain Painting in 2010. This was my first experience in painting though I always have loved art. I have always admired various artists and loved the idea of being an artist myself.

I grew up in OH where I frequented the Art and History Museum as often as I could get someone to take me. I moved to GA when I was just 18 years old and found Atlanta to be booming with entertainment and arts. Very sociable people and those who loved to learn. I quickly was welcomed into this environment and loved all of GA.

Then in 2010 I moved to FL where life is slower and more isolated and with encouragement I started taking a few porcelain painting classes. I have found to love it and gaining an understanding of the dedication, time and beauty of porcelain painting it quickly became a favorite of mine.

Porcelain painting is a form of art work that is created in layers of paint and most pieces require 3-6 fires. Once each layer is added to the clean porcelain it must be fired. Each piece requires 12-16 hours for firing. Porcelain painting is a process which requires years to understand and to learn. Painting with other porcelain painters it is often referred to the most difficult form of painting. We who paint say it is cheaper than therapy and every opening of the kiln is a like opening gifts on a holiday morning. You never know what your going to get!

Over the past two years I've been sponsored by www.Platformart.org and have been invited to display my art work at local galleries. In addition, I attend art shows.

I hope you enjoy my work as much as I love creating it. Thank you very much for stopping by!

I've lived in OH, GA and now FL. I'm a porcelain artist and teacher. I teach homeschool groups from Kindergarden through highschool. I love my program and all of my children as they love our classes. Porcelain painting is considered to be unforgiving and the most difficult out of all painting medians. We who paint say its cheaper than therapy. lol I've been pianting for the past 3 years. I'm severly dyslexic and in my "spare" time I love to do volunteer work. Thank you for stopping by.

Hello and Welcome to Porcelain By Michelle.

I’m a porcelain painter which is an art form that has been around for over 2,500 years. Porcelain is a form of clay that is fired on a higher heat creating porcelain/fine china. The process of porcelain painting is done in layers and fired in a kiln after each layer. Thus resulting in 3-6 fires on average, each fire requires 12-16 hours.

Each piece is handmade by me to create a unique piece to be treasured in your home. Tiles with hangers are perfect for high moisture areas like the bathroom, kitchen or laundry room. Tile murals can be created to your specifications by special order. Most all pieces I create I do so as a one of kind unless otherwise posted as such as the tiles for backsplashes that can be ordered in quantities.

In addition, I've just started making gift baskets out of my hand painted pieces. I really love gift baskets and hope each is pretty, cherished and well loved. I make each piece something I'd want myself!

I really enjoy painting and hope you find as much joy out of each piece as I do! Thank you for coming by!
