To be honest, I was quite disappointed. I was hoping to send this card to a friend as a nice vintage greeting for her birthday because she loves Lily of the Valley. What I received was more of an collector's item - it had been written on already, so seemed to be meant for somebody who collects used postcards and not for someone who wanted to send it themselves. This should have been made clearer in the description. Additionally, it was covered in sand - was this supposed to be funny or relate to the accompanying card of 'White Sands'? Not sure. Anyway, I'm not trying this seller again, sorry.

I am equally disappointed in your review. The description and the pictures clearly show the item and you can see in the photograph of the backside of the card there is writing. You are correct that this is for collectors. Also the White Sands card was a gift, however unappreciated it was. I also would like to point out that the "sand" you claim was all over the card was in fact part of the original design of this early period postcard. The would use small glass beads to accentuate the image and give it texture the same reason they use ribbon. All of this fine card was from the original design and period with nothing added.

About

Getting to know a Butterfly

Postcards, Vintage Postcards and Old Postcards
First a brief little introduction: I grew up a Midwest farm girl from Wisconsin but through a series of moments of self discovery I have since moved to California and live the city life in Palm Springs. I live in a beautiful contemporary home where my husband and I have designed a small but very beautiful Japanese Garden.

Unfortunately, though, the contemporary look does not blend with my passion for vintage and antique Victorian froufrou. So I have created for myself a virtual world with my shops. I welcome you to my attic filled with all the treasures found and creations made especially for you.

Collecting vintage items, specifically postcards, finding beautiful natural works of art, and natural crafts has been a passion of mine for most of my life. During my childhood I would often take hikes and search for treasures: gems and minerals, old milk glass bottles that were left behind by people working the land, and herbs to dry by our old wood stove.

If it was raining I spent my free time crafting with my treasures or studying books about what I could find or make in the future. Not much has change since those days; I still dream big, work hard, and love to search for treasures.

My postcard & ephemera collection has grown over the years but I still study each of the old images and lose myself in time travel. A butterfly knows no boundaries ... I just dream.
