5 out of 5 starsBeware of becoming addicted to Inge's Pottery. They are absolutely amazing. I don't think I own any teapot I love as much as hers.

5 out of 5 starsThe pot is even more beautiful in person than in the photos. Nit handles well with a neat quick pour. The technology of glazes is a mystery to me so I will only say that Chinese greens that were disappointing when steeped in other glazed pots were satisfying when steeped in this pot.

5 out of 5 starsBeautiful cups as pictured. They go perfectly with the teapot I acquired earlier from Inge as well as other pieces of teaware in my collection. It's a renewed pleasure to use such fine teaware. I can't recommend Inge's work enough.

A moment with tea
A student of things Chinese for decades, I started learning pottery with Zheng Deyong in his Huayan Studio while living in Taiwan 2009-2013. I had never sunk my fingers into clay or porcelain before I stumbled into his studio. In retrospect, it was what the Chinese call "yuanfen" - this translates into something like sublime fate. I was hooked on the wheel from the beginning. I love the spinning motion - I find it sets my thoughts flying. My favourite challenge is small teapots, as they require a tight and technical skill to satisfy the needs of gongfu tea drinkers. I enjoy sharing my work here on Etsy, on my website www.ingenielsenpottery.com, and via Instagram @i.n.clay and I always appreciate when someone drops by to say hello. I find it wonderful that pots can facilitate contact between strangers. Thanks for reading!
