All of my candles and wax melts comply with the CLP Regulations that came into effect in June 2015.
All of my Soy Wax Candles and Melts are entirely hand made, poured and finished.
They are made in small batches with lots of care and attention, so that I can focus on quality.
I have been producing candles and melts for over 6 years now and have 2 waxes that I am very happy with. My aromas have been tried and tested to ensure that my products give you the best quality burn and also the best scent throw possible.
Any new aromas are thoroughly tested to make sure they meet my high expectations before being launched.
I have always loved candles but got frustrated when they either burnt down the middle leaving wasted wax or didn't have any scent throw so I have worked very hard to develop a range that burns cleanly, gives a strong scent throw and leaves minimal wasted wax.
After many, many tests I have finally found a range of aromas/wicks/containers that I am happy with. Although I am always testing new ones.
I enjoy finding different styles of containers to pour my candles into, whilst still making the traditional votive and tumbler styles too.
Soy wax is a favourite of environmentally conscious people because it is not made from petroleum, like paraffin candles.
Soy wax is a natural vegetable wax (made from soy beans).
Soy wax candles produce about 90% less soot than paraffin candles.
Soot should be avoided because it is very unhealthy and can eventually coat furniture and walls.
Soy wax candles have an excellent burning behaviour and fragrance release.
The incorporation of soy bean oil lowers the melting point of the candle which means cooler burning candles and faster scent dispersion. The lower melting point of soy wax results in a larger size of the liquid wax pool around the candle wick. It is from this liquid wax pool that the fragrance oils evaporate into the atmosphere.
Soy wax spills are easily cleaned up with hot soapy water.
As such, once soy wax candles have been burnt the container can be easily cleaned out with hot soapy water and re used.
