About

About the Farm....

Our farm has been in operation since 2002,; we have a herd of Huacaya alpaca in Kansas, southwest of the Kansas City metro area. I am not an alpaca purist....I like all fiber and blending of fibers….really enjoy meeting other fiber enthusiasts and learning new skills. I work with commercial production of alpaca fiber as roving, yarn and in end products.

I have roving, yarn, and raw fleece of my alpaca available for purchase. Some are blends with very fine sheep wool, yak, silks, bamboo, mohair, angora bunny and other luxury fibers. Some of my yarns and rovings are dyed and some are completely natural. My roving and most of my yarn is commercially processed, at small family run mills, with a few exceptions....which are my own hand spun yarns. I sort / grade my fiber, so the quality of the roving and yarn is superior. Properly sorted fiber results in a higher quality end product / garment and a more enjoyable experience working with the fiber.

Love fiber! Enjoy using it through spinning, knitting, crochet, dyeing, felting, sorting and prepping fiber for showing. I have loads of passion for all kinds of fiber and the animals who grow fiber for us!

Thank you for stopping by. As you can see, I love fiber and stay busy doing just about everything with it. We raise alpaca but I love all fiber and fiber blends, particularly blends with: Merino, Cormo, Bamboo, BFL, Mohair, Angora bunny, Yak & Camel Down and a variety of Silks.

On our farm we love our alpacas....but it is important for you to know, we are particular about our herd of alpaca and work very hard to have animals which produce quality fine, uniform fiber. We have been in operation since 2002. We harvest our clip of fiber in the spring and sort and grade it before it is processed. This makes a huge difference in the roving, yarn and end product.

On my site you will find roving, yarn , felt, and possibly some items I have made. You will also see hand spun yarns, mill spun yarns, rovings batts and upon occasion raw fibers.
