Shop policies

Last updated on March 6, 2011
Everything in my shop has been lovingly handmade from top quality materials. Many items are one of a kind and all are unique- if you see something you like, nab it, because there probably won't be another! Please feel free to email me with any questions or concerns you might have at presentsknits [!at], or message me through etsy. I am happy to consider commissions though my current time constraints mean that sadly, I can't accept every job. My home is kept smoke free. I do have a dog, who is kept well away from my supplies and products, but if you have allergy concerns please feel free to convo me - I'm happy to wash something a few extra times :-)

Accepted payment methods

Returns and exchanges
I will gladly offer refunds on unused, unworn, and undamaged goods if I am notified within a week of receipt. Unfortunately I cannot refund shipping to or from your location.

There are no returns on pattern purchases- I am happy to help you if you are unsatisfied with the directions.
I will send one reminder email if I don't receive payment at the time of the purchase. If there is no response and the item is still not paid for by one week after the transaction, the purchase will be canceled and the buyer will be reported for nonpayment. If you change your mind after making a purchase, please let me know immediately (and you won't be reported for anything.)
Unless you request otherwise, I ship through USPS and purchase delivery confirmation, which provides me with a tracking number (which will be sent to you) to keep track of the package's progress. Within the US, it generally only takes a few days to arrive. I am now shipping primarily on Mondays and Thursdays. Patterns are almost always emailed to you within 24 hours. Be sure to include the email address that you would like the pattern sent to, or I will just use the one connected to your etsy account.

If you would like to purchase faster or insured shipment, please let me know and I can send you an updated invoice. Please note that I cannot be held responsible for items lost in the mail, nor can I refund or replace them unless you've purchased insurance. Most things are one of a kind and sadly not replaceable.

Unfortunately, I cannot purchase delivery confirmation for international orders, but if you would like to upgrade to registered mail or some other method, please let me know and I can send you an updated invoice. Customers are responsible for any fees or tariffs imposed by the customs in their country, so you may wish to investigate that before ordering. Unfortunately I cannot mark packages as "gifts" (as this is essentially mail fraud and not really a very good business practice) so be aware that customs fees are a possibility. You may also want to make sure that the importing of animal fibers is not banned between the US and your country, as I would hate to see your shiny new yarn quarantined at the border :-(

A note on copyright & pattern purchases:

Your purchase of a pattern from my shop constitutes your agreement to use the pattern only for personal, non-profit use unless you have specific written permission from me. Items made from the pattern may not be sold, nor may the pattern itself be copied, sold, or distributed in any way. You may print one copy for personal use but may not print multiples to distribute, nor may you share the digital file with others.

Supporting independent designers and following copyright guidelines ensures that we'll keep coming up with fun things for you to knit :-)
