About

Fabric is eye candy, it takes me to a happy place.

I started my shop because I had been selling my stationery at a local farmer's market. Many of the wonderful people that I met were not local to the area, and wanted a way to purchase my fabric cards from where they lived. In 2008 I started selling Pretty Pear Designs and opened my Etsy shop.

We are so pleased that you took the time to visit our shop. I started Pretty Pear designs due to a love of fabric and a desire to create and share that love with special notes and invitations. This has truly been an evolution and journey for me, from my very first special card to my mother to one of a kind boxed notecards and invitations.

My goal is to share Something Different and Something Elegant. A unique approach to stationery with the unexpected of a fabric card. I strive for simplicity in my stationery with a desire to have the fabric and the tactile quality but its strongest element.

I offer custom designs and truly love the challenge of coming up with something new and different. If there is a fabric that you have in mind or are interested in seeing some of my "stash" just convo me and we can work one-on-one.

All personalizing and monogrammning is available and of no extra charge.

I am not able to accept custom orders that need to be ready by Dec.25th after the 16th of Dec. If it is a larger order ( 25 cards or more) please convo me to work on deadlines.

FAQs
1.How do you get the fabric to bond to the paper?
- Well, with a sincere smile I have to say it is my secret and it is not glued on. I would not put my product out there until I had complete confidence in the bond between the fabric and the paper. It will hold up to all different elements.

2. How come you do not put more on your stationery?
-I really want the stationery to be known for its simplicity of the fabric, combined with the elegance of a ribbon ( if desired ).

3. How did you come up with this?
Over the years I had acquired lots of fabric. Here and there yardage that I thought was just lovely - what I call eye-candy. In my dreams I would sit quietly and quilt the most beautiful quilts. But I am not a great sewer, and having little babies at the time did not lend itself to peaceful sewing.
One night out of a strong desire to just create, I got out my pile of fabric, starting cutting it up to a size that I could work with. Then I started to just think of my mom and all the wonderful things I wanted to say to her. I put the two together and created my first card.

LOVE custom orders!
