Becca started working on this quilt for my husband in late July. I wanted a big, warm quilt for him so that he would stop using mine, and when I saw her 8bit designs, I contacted her with an idea. I wanted to make my husband a quilt designed with patches from his very favorite video game. I had no idea if something like this was manageable, so I asked Becca. Becca told me she wasn't sure but she was open to trying. The first method she used for patches didn't hold up, and she let me know in enough time that I opted to make this a holiday gift. She offered to keep trying with different techniques, and over the next few months, she updated me regularly on the progress. The quilt she sent me was so much more amazing than my initial idea. I couldn't be happier with the quality of the quilt or the service. Thank you so much!

The customer service is A + My first one was defective and I was sent another one with in a week of contacting the shop.. The magnetic bracelet is comfortable and so handy to hold the my pins. I love it and would definitely purchase it again.

Working with sustainable cork fabric is such a pleasure that I just couldn't stop making these little business card wallets today! Check out the assortment of colors available.
I made this mini quilt from my own hand-dyed fabrics to hang in my home studio. What would you make with a bundle of cheerful fat quarters like this?

About

I'm proud to be a Piney from my head down to my--well, you know.* I was born and raised in the Pine Barrens of New Jersey. Pineys are rumored to be a resourceful bunch. We "use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without" as the plaque that hung in my grandmother's kitchen said. I like to find new uses for things that have outlived their usefulness, but I also just like to make things. I mostly work with fabric, but sometimes you'll spot me working with glass or paper or yarn. Anyway, I consider myself to be pretty piney when it comes to using the materials available to make new things.

*In case you were wondering, it's "heinie." You know, as in rear-end, or tuchas, or behind, or bottom, or...well, you know!
