Welcome To primal Originals
Hi, I’m Judi and I grew up in New York not in Manhattan by on Long Island and experienced the change from country and farms to populated suburbs and traffic jams. We escaped to a more leisure pace in recent years with a move to Wilmington, NC, a beautiful coastal town with miles of uncrowned beaches.
Since my early years I loved art and it continues to this day. I have a passion for creating things with both my mind and hands. Whether it’s sketching a design with a pencil or creating an object with a carving tool. I enjoy all aspects of creativity!
Why fake gauges? Well I became interested in the edginess of the gauged look, along with tribal traditions. Now to be honest I was not too interested in a ½ holes in my ears. So after quite a bet of research I came up with my own version of the split gauge, not an original idea, but effective.
After quite bit of trial and error and a the help of a neighboring carver I finally started to have saleable results.
The items in my shop are the result of those efforts so please take your time and have a look around.
Thanks for your time!

I've always had a love of art that extended through school and continues today. After years in advertising my husband and I moved to the slower pace of scenic Wilmington, NC. With interests in art, music, carving and water sports…
